Alana..Sounds like you had a nice evening with dh. I don't think Mel will be going anywhere near that place again. As far as I am concerned, they can ban all guns..but that's just me. If they did, I'm sure people would figure out another way to kill each other. One of the guys had a spider web tatoo on the back of his neck..I think in gang lingo that means he spent time in jail..Ugh..I'm so glad she got out of there unscathed.

Tia, do you get zits when you are preggers? I know I did both times....very strange. Although I also do with AF symptoms so its never clear which it is!

Susan, Hannah Rose is a very pretty name. You know whats funny though...I really like Brenna's name. I was calling her Grits forever and then we all found out her name was Brenna and it was like....hello....what a great name! lol. So I'm guessing our forum Hannah will be very happy.

LMAO...Ronni....GOOD FOR YOU!! I love those pyjama days, they are the best. Lazy and relaxing and all about 'me' time. If I were you I wouldn't do anything about changing until tomorrow.

April, I'm with you on the gun ban. They were made purely to kill. Whoever thought that was a good idea needs a swift kick to the backside. Its men though..they are the ones doing all this. You don't normally see women running around inventing weapons and killing and raping each other now do you?!! I mean whats wrong with them all...only police and military people should have guns. And even then....

Okay..I went on a rant there....sorry about that. lol

My only thing I can say on the whole gun issue, is that GUNS don't kill people, PEOPLE kill PEOPLE. As April said, if it weren't for guns it'd be something else. There are responsible gun owners out there, but there are also wack jobs who want to hurt people. (And they'll do it with guns or whatever they can get their hands on...baseball bats, golf clubs, knives, etc) I personally, do not mind guns. As long as they are handled properly and safely. Plus, if it weren't for guns, I dont' think I'd allow my DH to go into the profession he is going into.

Just found out more than one person jumped off a bridge last night. Did you all read about the idiot in SoCal that jumped last night? The police chased him and when they got to him the police dog jumped on him to stop him from jumping. The man picked up the dog and jumped over the bridege with him. The dog died, the idiot survived. I was so sad after reading that. If I am not mistaken that is the equivalent to killing an officer.

DH's jumper was not so lucky we just learned. He is a parapalygic now.

Ronni- I got back into my jammies at 3pm.

I just watched Charlie Wilson's War. Excellent. DOn't ask me how I just watched it

I kinda agree Shawna, however I also think theres a little flaw in that statement. Every other method of killing (what a horrible topic this is!) means the person has to face their victim up close and personal and look them in the eye. The gun took this away and meant complete strangers can kill someone from a distance...never having even met this person. That to me is sick. I'm glad that your DH will have protection though, I would never suggest police or army shouldn't have them. However, everyone else...thats where it should be stopped.

This is a horrible topic!!

Oh, and the UK has a very low gun crime rate because no-one, including the police, has them. My personal opinion is that yes...people kill people...but guns make it much easier to do!

Sorry for the rant, but this is kind of an area I'll never understand. I HATE guns and will never change my mind. Their sole purpose in life is to kill. So...now...lets change the subject!! lol

Okay....so I don't want to start a silly fight on this forum. I LOVE you girls. Shawna, hun....can we agree to disagree and still be BFF's?? I hope so, I couldn't do without you all. You girls are my family!

Anyway, I'm off to eat some dinner. Spag Bol made by DH...yummy! Susan, thats very sad about the jumper, wow, what a start to the new year. It makes me realize how lucky I currently am...even without the baby.
