April- How long will they keep you on the pump before they d/c it? The whole stay?
That would be sweet!
Can you explain to me how they do this surgery? How big is the incision? Sorry I am full of questions...

All this ethnic food talk has me craving Thai... I think dh and I are going to order some takeout! I've got all these meals frozen but forgot to take anything out till this morning and now it's still frozen.

Susan - Feel better and get some good sleep tonight!

April - One last good luck!

Alana - What will you do without your painter tomorrow?

Shawna - I don't wait for my dh to eat. He gets home way too late these days.

My dh doesn't cook a thing. Well, unless you count hard boiled eggs! And, he works in a restaurant all day long around lots of good food and amazing chefs. No idea how it doesn't rub off on him at all.

My big accomplishments for the day have been going through the two week stack of mail from both houses, catching up on work emails, pumping breastmilk, and unpacking my hospital bag. Quite a change over here. I won't be around too much tomorrow b/c I have an ob checkup on my c-section and then I'm headed to the hospital to check on Havana. My Mom is going to come babysit for the afternoon. Figures it's supposed to pour tomorrow on my big day out! I'll miss you chatty ladies!

I'm baaaaaaaack! No traffic incidents on my long drive home, but there was a incident of me almost falling on the very icy driveway when i was walking to get my mail.

Okay, so I got my CD10 b/w back...FSH was 9, E2 was 748. On CD3 it was FSH = 6, E2 =45. They said I am a tremendous responder on clomid which correlates to an expected great response for IVF. Cool, I guess but hopefully I won't need to go that route!

Oh, and I got the call from the Kidney coordinator today. She reviewed my paperwork and said that me TTC is no problem. If I am able to do the donation, I would be out for 4-6 weeks-they don't want me trying then because they want me to heal, but I could to my b/c pills then. They said that they used to not let women who were TTC or childbearing donate, but now they do because they found no impact on anything. So, if you are 1-3 months pg I guess you could donate, but DH said if I am pg then NO WAY. I guess I understand that
Anyway, I go give blood next Wednesday and they will add it to the receipant's blood to see if they 'get along' -nurses words. Apparently, the girl has a antibody to a certain antigen that her father had, so they will be checking for that.

Susan-I am so glad that TC is doing great

April-you know I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I sent you a package on Monday. I expect you should get it by tomorrow...

Shawna and Alana- Sorry I couldn't be here to comisserate with you girls today.

Jen..that's great news about your b/w and all..Hopefully you won't need the ivf tx but if you do, it sounds like things would go really well. I still say it is wonderful of you to even consider the transplant. I will have Mel look out for the package for me. You are such a sweetheart and I really look forward to meeting you in person!

Susan..The surgery goes something like this..He will make a bikini line incision (about 4 inches) and will actually pull out my uterus (doesn't that sound pleasant)..They will take a look see and remove the big fibroid (plum size) and any others he sees. He's going to take pictures so that should be interesting! After the surgery, I will be on the pca for most likely about 24 hours..then on to oral pain meds (vicodin and Motrin). Hopefully, I won't need them too much, cause I don't like taking those pills. Oh, I will also have a lidocaine type infusion that goes directly into the incision site for the first 24 hrs. (think fanny pack with this little pain pump with very small tubing into the actually incision.) I'll also have a urinary catheter till the next morning, which is fine with me..I don't want to be running for the bathroom all night. Sorry for the dissertation, but that is the lowdown.

Mel is so sweet, she just came home and bought me those Bose noise reduction headsets so I can use them at the hospital!

Don't forget to get Mel up to speed on posting so she can update us on your surgery! I'll log on at work to keep checking.

DH will be working late tonight so I have to fend for myself for dinner. He invited me to dinner in Boulder, but yuck, I am in my pjs already and it is damp and cold outside. So what do I want for dinner...

April- Pull your uterus out hey? wow. Crazy. Well, I for one am routing, routing, routing for you! I hope that everythign goes well, that your recovery is speedy and we soon have another cyber neice/nephew to add to our list to be expecting.

Jen- Can't help you on dinner choices, I have a hard time with that myself. LOL

Rachael- Drive safe tomorrow hun!!

Susan- I agree. It's really pretty scary. I guess DH had a Schizophrenia (sp?) class today. They learned all about it. I asked him if he thought I might have it, he said no, unless voices are telling me I'm worthless. (wouldn't he love to know, that the only voice doing that is mine! LOL) Anyways, I swear there are far too many undiagnosed cases of mental illness in the world...and this is why things are so messed up.

I'm a bit upset tonight about our health care issues. Is it not discrimination that they won't cover my fertility drugs but they'll cover ritalin for some kid who might actually not be ADD or ADHD if their parents just gave a d a m n and fed them better? My two cousins are perfect examples of this. ugg. I know that there are kids who need it, but the ones who don't.....sigh. This whole insurance thing has me riled up. I may even call Human Resources and talk to them about this crap!

Susan - no wild dreams about Mr. x, kay? Oh, goodness, I meant to mention to you earlier that it was ironic that you mentioned having dreams about your ex... totally had another one last night... I feel crazy when I wake up missing him. Ugh. Anybody else ever have dreams of their ex's? Or is it just Susan and I?

April, good luck tomorrow.

Dreaming of ex's could be a pregnancy thing. I had some wild dreams while pregnant though. Don't know where that stuff came from.

Well, it might be a no-brainer, but I've concluded that I've been feeling weepy and sad because it's coming up to my would be due date. Alana mentioned something similar the other day, and I'm thinking that's what it has to be. Although who knows what the BCP's are doing too.
