Heidi - I say get to the dentist now and go ahead with the x-ray. You certainly won't want to do them when you're pregnant in the next few months!!!

I would absolutely go to the dentist and get those xrays. Just not after the ET. You won't even come close to effecting your eggs. They put a lead apron over you. And those xrays are pretty low dose. But I promise you they can not penetrate the lead apron!

I'll be at CCRM next Thursday for the day full of testing. I can't really say I'm looking forward to it but it will be good to get it done. I know you're not a CCRM fan and I can completely understand why. (Especially since your new clinic is going to get you pregnant tomorrow!) But, Dr. S is the best for my age group so off we go!

i'm better, we're going to see a movie!

i think the bcp's are really getting to me. i am not just trying to make an excuse, i really don't feel like myself. it's like an anger from within over nothing. does that make sense? probably not, i'm just nuts!

but yes, school has been rough for me lately. i have lost 3 students...all going to jail and 2 of them got caught becuase of me. yesterday i noticed one of my students, who has failed before, was acting VERY out of it. he couldn't hold his head up. i told him to get out of my class if he wsn't going to participate. he stumbled out the door, tripping over the trashcan. i pressed the button that sends the police officer. turns out he was taking pills and selling them. i guess he told the officer that another one of my students (a girl, who has also failed) was taking/selling them too. they were both arrested and i had to watch as they sobbed their way out of the school in handcuffs. the boys mother died of cancer in october and his dad isn't in the picture.

the 3rd student was arrested before christmas break and my heart is still hearting for him. he is a foster child. a sweet, precious boy who is very troubled. he and his friend snuck out of school one day, and (you won't believe this) they came across one of the athletic dept. school buses. the keys had been left in them. the 2 boys STOLE THE BUS and drove from my town to downtown houston. (about 20 freeway miles) and they got into a wreck. can you imagine? THEY ARE 12!!! when asked why he did it, he said he was trying to go to this parents house for christmas. instead he spent christmas (and he's still there) in a bootcamp.

teaching the little ones was hard, because their neglect was easy to spot. but teaching 13 yr olds that have so much going on in their lives is so much for me to bear sometimes.

sorry to vent so much. and i'm sorry i haven't posted as much lately.

jen, i am so excited for you! i have such a great feeling about this! i'll be thinking about you tomorrow!

Really, I liked the nurses I had and Dr. Gustofson wasn't bad. It was the insurance issues and that crazy witch at the front desk that I didn't like. If they took my insurance completely like Conceptions does I wouldn't have switched.

And besides, I love them because they are gonna get you pg!

Thanks Ronni, I'm such a procrastinator when I don't want to do things. I hate the dentist. Not because of the pain, but the invasion of personal space. Maybe I should take a vicodin before I go?

Does anyone else do that? put off lots of other stuff just because you're TTC and you "could" be pregnant so "can't" do this and that. Meanwhile the months and years just sail by.

well I haven't gone to FL to visit my parents because of TTC...

Amy-that is horrible! I can't believe 13 year olds can get in that much trouble! It is really sad. I would have had no idea what taking or selling pills was when I was that age. What is happening with society? Sure, you see that in high school, but in middle school? Ugh! I am so sorry for you. I know it must be hard to lose these kids.

Amy that has got to be so hard. I work for a non-profit child and family welfare service. I don't see the children directly, but hear about many of the cases and it's a sad situation. The numbers of children that are neglected are staggering.

You must just wish their parents would step up and give these kids the guidance and support they need. Instead, they're let down and react accordingly.

Okay so I didn't have time to read all the way up yet but I had to let you know about the ice. I ran out of lido cream and I'm not able to get more. I'm a HUGE chicken to even think of PIO without some sort of nubbing so what are you suggesting I do if I can't ice? Hmm ... suggestions ladies please. Tonight I iced and then I found a heat pack like you have Susan. I've put that on a few times and my lump is down. I'm stuck, what else can I do I don't just want butt + needle = bad day!

Amy I'm so sorry to hear about those students. Just try to remember that you're doing so much good for so many of them! They need people like you around - even if you don't reach all of them, I bet there are many who will remember you for the rest of their lives for how you've helped them. I often Google some of my prior students names to see if they're doing anything noteworthy. One attorney and two military doctors so far!!

Heidi - I know what you mean about putting things off because you're TTC. I've done that in the past. We've missed several fun vacations and opportunities and I've regretted it each time.

Devan - I iced, shot and then immediately heated and rubbed. I'd get a lump or two here and there but not too bad. I think the key is rubbing pretty aggressively after the shot to disperse the goods.

Call me strange, but I found the icing of the arse more uncomfortable than the actually needle stab? I did the aggressive rubbing too.

For this IVF they aren't doing PIO just suppositories. Yuck, yuck, yucky, but not sore at least. I swear I still get an itchy butt around the places I did PIO and had the lumps. The couple of times I have gone for a run, I scratch myself the whole way home. Nice.
