Alana hun, that really sounds like my chemicals and NOT the ectopic. I didn't have any pain with the ectopic, but normal pg symptoms until 6w3d. I didn't even spot. Then the pain was in my left lower side, but when it ruptured at 6w5d the pain I felt was in my right shoulder, above the breast bone, below the collar bone. It was a diffuse pain and really uncomfortable. I doubt that the embie could be big enough at this point to rupture. Either way, I think you should go to the ER. Have them check you out. My bet is that you had a chemical, which could cause the heavy bleeding and pain. I am sorry hun.

Tia-that is cool about the adoption. We know a couple that TTC for a few years, then adopted a black baby (btw, the father is Mexican and the mother is a very white Texan...her parents are a bit bigoted). Then they went on to have 2 of their own biological children. They love them all equally and it is definitely a colorful family! They are great people. I know we hear the adopt/biological family stories all the time, but this is a couple I personally know (actually, we went to school with the guy at Northwestern, and the wife was a Methodist minister). And they were told that they would never have kids.
Then DH works with a girl who just adopted her son from Korea (he is almost 2 now...she got him at 4 or 5 months old). They were on a list for a girl from China, but decided to go with Korea again for their daughter. I think they get her soon. Unfortunately this girl had too many issues and had to have a hystorectomy (sp?), so there is no way she can have her own But it doesn't matter. You can't find 2 prouder happier parents anywhere!

Shawna-I am definitely up for that Outback in Maui!

Today went great. Except for the fact that neither of us had much sleep, and DH hurt his neck and is all sore. But his counts came in at 57.5 mil, 80%, +2/+3! The nurse said that it should have been the other way around, the stronger count the first day. I am beginning to think that maybe the xray did have some effect. Whatever, there are millions and millions of good sperm in there waiting to fertilize my egg! Oh, and they did a u/s and the follie had released its egg. And DH said the word follie 2x in front of the nurse (so embarassing!). So I am definitely PUPO

morning girls I hate those emails too. There are certain people that I just automatically delete those emails. But if I accidently open one from someone who I am NOT expecting one from-Susan- then I feel like I HAVE to send it out. I can't be the chain breaker. Too much at stake here

If it's true about death because I didn't forward them on, then I must be like a cat with nine lives!! LOL. I always open and DELETE them within a few seconds of each other! LOL I don't mind the forwards that are cool with pictures, but the ones that are a mile long and you must read....forget about it. I"m like a kid, I don't want to read, I just want to look at pictures! LOL

Good Morning from the couch..

Alana.. I am sorry you are going through this..If you are going through more than one pad an hour than you should go to the ER. I am thinking of you!

Jen..congrats on being PUPO! Next time you come out to CA we'll have to go to the Outback right down the road from me..you can add it to your list. Oh Jen, Mel brought your necklace to me in the hospital..It is so beautiful and it made my day! Thank you so much!

Shawna..I never pass along those stupid emails..and I'm still alive and kicking.

Hello and hugs to everybody! I am getting ready for football day today..Go Chargers and Giants! To add insult to injury..I got my period..so now I get to add cramps to my list of symptoms..actually, it could be much worse..All I have taken is Motrin..so the pain isn't that bad. To all my FFF's!

Hi girls...I'm just stopping back home from the hospital to grab a bite to eat while I wait on some blood results. Don't worry...its not because its an ectopic!! I ended up going into my clinic anyway and they have sent me to the hospital to get a shot of rhogam in case this is a chemical pregnancy. I'm still feeling pretty fed up with it all...however my DH is seeing the positive side to this in that my RE now seems to finally be taking these miscarriages seriously...and maybe soon we will have some answers.

In the meantime...thanks for all the kind words. I'll be back on later today. Have a nice relaxing Sunday everyone.

Tia- Your day at adoption class sounds wonderful and informative! You must be excited but overwhelmed with the amount of info and how fast this is all going!
I have several friends that have adopted more than once from Korea and are just ecstatic about the program.
Pretty soon you will have that little one or ones in your arms!!!!

Alana, are you Rh-? I am too. I have had 3 shots of rhogam so far...
Let us know what the results are.

Susan-just got back home myself. Walt didn't mean to scare you. He just wanted you to mail your scallops up here.

Here:
Foods to Avoid during Pregnancy : American Pregnancy Association
Fish with Mercury: Fish that contain high levels of mercury should be avoided. Mercury consumed during pregnancy has been linked to developmental delays and brain damage. A sample of these types of fish include: shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish. Canned, chunk light tuna generally has a lower amount of mercury than other tuna, but still should only be eaten in moderation. Certain types of fish used in sushi should also be avoided due to high levels of mercury. Please see Mercury in Fish for specific types of fish and further information on how to calculate mercury levels.
Smoked Seafood -Refrigerated, smoked seafood often labeled as lox, nova style, kippered, or jerky should be avoided because it could be contaminated with Listeria. (These are safe to eat when they are in an ingredient in a meal that has been cooked, like a casserole.) This type of fish is often found in the deli section of your grocery store. Canned or shelf-safe smoked seafood is usually OK to eat.
Fish Exposed to Industrial Pollutants: Avoid fish from contaminated lakes and rivers that may be exposed to high levels of polychlorinated biphenyls. This is primarily for those who fish in local lakes and streams. These fish include: bluefish, striped bass, salmon, pike, trout, and walleye. Contact the local health department or Environmental Protection Agency to determine which fish are safe to eat in your area. Remember, this is regarding fish caught in local waters and not fish from your local grocery store.
Your purchase supports the APA

Raw Shellfish: The majority of seafood-borne illness is caused by undercooked shellfish, which include oysters, clams, and mussels. Cooking helps prevent some types of infection, but it does not prevent the algae-related infections that are associated with red tides. Raw shellfish pose a concern for everybody, and they should be avoided altogether during pregnancy.

Shellfish occasionally should be fine (as long as it is cooked!).

Morning / Afternoon Loves ...

Alana I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. I hope that now your RE takes it serious and gets you and DH some much deserved answers. Again, I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. My hear aches for you.

Tia the adoption day sounds like it was a hit and very successful. I wish you guys nothig but the best of luck. My good friend is Korean and was adopted by a white family when she was a little baby. She is happy that things worked out the way they did for her. I think Korea is a great place to adopt from.

Shawna I just delete emails when they are from people I don't care or want to hear from. You should try that and then you never have to know what they have to say.

Ronni I'm glad that your CCRM visit is coming up soon, we can't wait to hear all about it. So I may need a little insight on the bringing in a new pet with an old pet. How long did it take for your cat to adjust? Are the cat and the dog okay now? I'm hoping DH will let me get another cat soon. Now I'm just thinking about the transition.

Jen I love outback too. Although I'm a bloomin onion kinda girl. It was funny, when I lived in Guam the only steak house on the entire island was Outback. You can imagine how much it was for a steak dinner. Oh well, it was good. Glad to hear your IUI was great, can't wait to watch your belly grow. Okay, get some rest now.

Well, I told DH I was going to sleep in today and well I laid in the bed for a while and then decided to get up and take a shower. Well he must have started cooking "brunch" when I was in the shower and when I came downstairs it was time to eat (How sweet). So I made a plate of eggs, sausage and biscuits and boy, when I started eating I starting feeling queasy so I politely excused myself to the restroom until I felt better. This I must say was my first episode of nasuea, Yippee! It is still with me though, I have to take it nice and slow. Oh so I went to put my jeans on after the shower and yeah, there not really fitting. So I asked DH is he shrunk them in the dryer or if I could have gained enough weight already to where they just don't fit, he laughed and said, it's probably the later of the two because I'm good at laundry. LOL - So do you think I could not be fitting in stuff already, I'm only right at 7wks. Hmm ... no worries, guess I've got to go shopping. Jen you want to come? We are now watching football (of course, it is Sunday), I'm trying not to think about tomorrow but I'm anxious and ready.

Hope you all have a great Sunday. Relax and enjoy your weekend.

Thanks Jen! Sorry Walt, it's shrimp tonight and you are not getting any!!!!

Devan- I absolutely did not fit into my clothes at 7 weeks. I have just started exercising again with my exercise ball and walking. Today I incorporated 5 lb dumbells into my squats with the ball. My *** was getting so big! Bigger than my belly. It looks like my butt is pregnant!

We wish you the best of luck tomorrow!!! I know you will see your heartbeat!!! Maybe two!

Alana, I am s bummed for you. Like you have not had enough frustration! I hope it is just a chemical, so you can resume your schedule too. Get some rest. Is your cold doing better at least?

Tia, that is so exciting, sounds like you are on your way to being a mommy!

Heidi, I have my sister, Alana, listed as guardian. It took a while for DH and I to decide. We just went through every obvious choice and thought about how the transition would be for the kids if it happened. And we figured they would be happiest and best off with her

Hi Shawna I do not even open those emails anymore, they go straight to trash. Nothing bad has happened to me yet.

Devan, your mornning sounds great. The cat is great! I hope you get him. And yes, you could not be fitting by now, especially if there is more than one

So far today, I have gone to church, breakfast, come home thrown a dead chicken out the coop, cleaned the dog/puppy room, emptied the central vac canister (YUK!), adn now I am chillin....eating hot tamales candy

Jen, Go Super Sperm!!!

Mornig April, well afternoon.....

So...after what seemed like a truly annoying day, something very very funny happened. We went to the hospital for the rhogam shot and had to wait a couple of hours for them to take my blood, check antibodies etc. Anyway, we finally get called in to take the shot when the nurse says I won't need it, I'm O Positive!!! LMAO...DH and I were dumbfounded. The nurse at the hospital where I had the D&C had said I was O Neg. I have to say we were all chuckling about that one. What a waste of a trip!! I'm still laughing about it now!

Anyway, so that cheered me up immensely, it was just so silly. I also got to sit in the triage waiting room with two police officers and a felon in handcuffs talking to himself. The entire afternoon was like something out of a comedy skit! We also got a call back from my RE saying my HCG level is at 79, (I'm 12dpo) so its most likely too high for a chemical pregnancy, so I'm going back in tomorrow to do further tests etc. I really really hope this isn't an ectopic, my tubes were only checked a month ago and all was fine. An ectopic would be so frustrating with the 3 month wait etc. Oh well, I'm surprisingly not feeling too bad about it all...whatever happens happens. (I'm an old pro at this m/c stuff by now!) At least this time my RE is going to monitor everything very closely to get some answers. Thats what we need the most. I'm also not going to let any set-backs stop me trying...I'm over being scared...I'm not giving up even if I have 20 losses. Statistically one of them has to stick!
