Even worse than spare change in the pockets is gum! I hate that... gets everywhere. I try not to complain too much b/c DH gave up smoking so he is always chewing gum now. And, laundry is his sole duty around the house. Or, it was until he shrunk all my maternity clothes in the dryer two weeks ago!

I think Alana is stuck at work with no internet

I have made so much money in spare change that fall out in the dryer. I don't think men have the gene that allows them to close a cabinet or dresser drawer. Put his keys on the key rack we specifically put up in the kitchen so there will always be easy access? Are you kidding? I can't even tell you how many times we have left the house and arrived at a store just to find out that DH left his wallet at home. Why? Cause he couldn't find it. Of course we get home and he ransacks the house while I go to the last pants/shorts he wore and pull them out. And I know to look on the floor for those pants and shorts.

Alana..... **** your non-internet workplace. Don't they know you've got ladies here that need INFO!!!

Complain about your DHs all you want... he's chomping at the bit to get on here and chime in...

This year alone I've replaced
2 licenses
3 credit cards
2 sets of keys

Every time DH does the laundry (laundry is his job, only I fold) he always double checks because he knows he'll find license or credit/debit cards in the washer/dryer from my pockets...

He gets aggravated when I can't find my keys/cell/purse/brain, etc.

I put a pot of water on the stove to cook (which I am terrible at, I'll tell you why...) and forget about it until I hear the fire alarm going off because I've BURNT THE WATER!

I used to lock my keys in the car every other week (now I have a car that beeps if I haven't taken the keys out of the ignition).

When I make plans, I forget to tell DH until I'm going to go fulfill those plans.

Oh, and I always, ALWAYS forget to turn the iron, stove, oven, curling iron off when I'm done using it.

Danny rarely does anything that aggravates me...

except...

When he shaves, he doesn't wipe his hair out of the sink... and when he goes to take a shower, he'll leave his dirty clothes on the bathroom floor... rather than pick them up and put them in the hamper... I've stopped fighting it, though... I just pick it up and put it where it belongs. Pick your battles, you know? 80)

Alright Alana... the suspense is killing us.

LMAO!! You couldn't have put it any better Jen!! My work is **** for leaving me with no internet or get this....NO PHONE!! I kid you not.

Anyway, it is officially a ! So now of course I am in complete shock and freaking out! My head is doing a number on me, not letting me get excited at all. I'm actually staying pretty detached as I know getting too close in the early weeks when you've already experienced a miscarriage is impossible. So I will apologize now if I don't put a ticker on my page or talk about it ever again until (if) I make to the 12th week. I guess my emotions have gone into protective mode or something and won't lot me feel much about this pregnancy. For those of you who have been pregnant after a miscarriage before, did you feel this way too??

Alana - I see you on here so I'll let you post your big news....

You just beat me. I've been waiting for your news and say you on the IUI group.

I know it's going to be hard to enjoy these first few weeks. But, I also think it's important that you stay bonded with the baby. My SIL decided not to do anything for the baby until her IVF baby was delivered. It was a weird way to be pregnant. No nursery, no baby shower, nothing. We work so hard to get to this point that you do deserve to celebrate. I know the first trimester is all about small steps and small milestones. But, be sure to celebrate week by week. And, you can allow yourself to think some good thoughts now and then too. Unfortunately, we've all seen the sad side of the statistics. But, this is by the far the minority. Just keep reminding yourself of that.

Have you thought about renting a heartbeat monitor down the road?

Hi Rachael, I'm glad you are here! If I make it to the second trimester I would buy a heartbeat monitor in a heartbeat. (no pun intended!) I might be feeling a bit detached now, but if things go along as they should you can bet I will do a complete emotional flip and be ready to get excited the day I pass whatever mark my mind lets me relax at.

I definately wouldn't wait until the birth, I think once you see the baby move etc you should be able to relax. But at this stage, barely an embryo, so much can go wrong its hard to feel anything but scared. However I'll try really hard to relax more, and I have to say that watching your amazing little Aiden get bigger and bigger each week has really helped. He is such a little miracle.

I think it's great that you don't know a beta number! You can't try to compare it to anything. Maybe you can relax a bit easier now. Thursday will come very quickly and then you can celebrate!

For my IF journey... I made an appointment today with my old RE for Septmeber 26th to talk about donor options vs. me doing another cycle with my own eggies.
So a month from today I will have a plan!

Thanks girls. Susan, we will also be seeing a BFP from you very soon too! With those cooking skills of yours it would be a complete waste to not have some very happy children growing up with the wonderful aroma of mums cooking! So now that I've had enough talking about me...what do you think that plan will be? I hope it involves using your own eggs one more time. It WILL work I just know it. This thread is blessed by all Jens charms and all of you girls positive vibes. We will see one BFP after another. Just you wait!
