Jen my little scientist. lol, if you can figure this out I will come over there and hug you to death! My main concern right now is whether or not this is going to end up an ectopic. Thats the big worry. The numbers are kind of wobbling that way...my next beta on Friday will probably give some clarity in this area. In the meantime though I'll give you the info and let you do your science thingy.

So, there are unfortunately a couple of options to your info due to the fact it was a natural cycle so ovulation is not certain. I'll base it on all my other cycles to average it out. (did I sound clever then?? lol)

Based on my 32 day cycle here is the data.

Sun 12dpo 79
Mon 13dpo 155
Wed 15dpo 270

This is kinda fun. I wish we had a machine we could slot the numbers into and come up with the chances of it being an ectopic. Can you invent that for me Jen?

hopeful2bemom...

I wish they weren't giving you a hard time about the tests. You are right, they factor your age in, the results then get inflated, and then you feel pressured to have MORE tests, which carry a risk of miscarriage, and you worked very hard to get this far. It is a personal decision and if oyu wanted to have them and would feel better that is one thing, but they don't have a right to bully you. the tests have no way of knowing your "true" age based on your lifestlye to date, either.

The first clinic I went to after my RE was pushing them, my new doc supports me not doing them but when he left the room and the nursre went to draw my blood she said in an incredulous way "You're NOT having the triple screen?" I said "nope." she then said "How about an AIDs test?" I am 90% certain she said this just to be nasty. I said I was sure they had already checked all that long ago!
Anyway I support you decision for what it's worth...

Piffy

Susan-DH just came home and wanted me to yell at you because he just HAD to buy scallops because his DHL package never arrived and you had him craving scallops!!!

Alana-are you nuts??? with my ectopic, 15dpo, my beta was 15. Do you see a

different pattern with your numbers? First of all, WTH is wrong with your RE? 12dpo 79 is a high beta. That is what is expected around 14dpo. Second, why not wait until Tues to do a second beta? The back to back betas mean nothing. But with yours, your beta went up 96%!!! That is almost double (100% is double). Viable pregnancies need to at least double 60% (although we have seen some cases where it didn't, but the pregnancy was still healthy). Anyway, from Monday to today, your beta went up 74%!!! Why the bleeding? Maybe you had 2 and you lost one. Maybe you are just a bleeder. My cousin bled for 4 months before she found out she was pg! Then she bled her entire pregnancy. And yes, you can have twins w/o drugs. DH's cousin's wife is due any day with faternal twins...conceived by accident.

Alana sweetie...YOU ARE PREGNANT!

NOW- unhand that wine. No hot tub. Seriously, you are pregnant. This is NOT ectopic. No way, no how. Do NOT stop this pregnancy. Do NOT go in for a beta tomorrow...wait until Friday. (well, if they will do tomorrow and Friday, then okay, but do NOT base anything off of tomorrows numbers).

Heidi-I love you too much for you to be offended from anything that I say

Susan- Sorry it was so blah at your appointment today. Have a slice of cheese pizza for me too okay!!

April- Ohhhh! DL....ohhhhh! I wanna go, I wanna go!! He he he! Hi hun! Hope you're feeling just a tad bit better.
