I am so very happy for you Alana!!! I knew this would be a BFP! While I was at work (dreading it cause I wanted to see your post) I was doing a western blot. As I was about to develop the blot I was thinking if this blot works (I knew it would) then that will represent Alana's BFP. Guess what? It worked. Not only that, but it worked VERY well. So I expect that your beta number is going to be VERY great!
I know you are anxious. I know I am anxious. It is going to be great. We will be here celebrating your every step. Susan- congrats on getting that RE appointment. I hope you get to use your eggies. This one is going to work for you.

Talk about weird. When I got home today I let Maggie (iguana) out of her cage. When I went downstairs, Maggie was eating cat food out of the same bowl as Sam (cat). Then just now I busted her coming out of the litter box. What is up with that? I think she thinks she is a cat...

I'm waiting for DH to get home so we can go to Baskin Robbins!!! I can't believe how hungry I have been getting!
Susan- that is great that the RE is going to go over all your old records. I think sometimes a new Dr./new plan is just what is needed. I really hope she finds a good new protocol for you!

Susan - I got so distracted earlier with the big news that I forgot to mention how happy I am that you made the appt with your old RE and are looking into options. I know it will be a great month for you too. I didn't get my BR
I'm fighting a little sniffles over here so I substituted with egg drop soup.Jen - Your iguana is cracking me up!! I thought I had my neighborhood cat dilema solved. I switched from tuna fish to cat food and he wasn't nearly as starving on the first day. But, now he's been here all day long (even with painters working outside our house) and gobbled up the cat food today. Hmmm. Cats are tricky things!

Thanks Susan. I took some Sudafed last night and it kept me up all night. I'll stick to that only during the daylight hours. Tonight it is the sniffles for me and hopefully some good sleep.

Congratulations Alana!!
I knew it, we all knew it and now you know it too!! This is super fantastic news Sweet Pea!! Here is to nine healthy happy months!!You brought tears to my eyes with your absolutely wonderful news and what you said about my suprise natural BFP...unfortunately I'm not thinking it's going to be happening for me. I saw the doctor about my Post-coital spotting...she said my cervix is red and inflamed and that I have to wait two to three weeks for the results. I'm down...what if it's something like cervical cancer? I'm so scared Ladies!! Sooo scared! And I'm trying my darndest to keep it together for DH, he's going through his interviews to get onto the police force and I don't need him worrying about me....I'm just really scared.... Anyways, I'm so happy for you Alana!! And I hope you all are doing fantastic. I think I'll just lurk for now....take care one and all!! Wishing you all BFPs in the very near future!! |

Shawna,
I am sorry to hear about your cervicitis. Maybe that's all it is, a cervical infection. I had one six months ago after all of the poking and prodding I had been through. It cleared up with some antibiotics and time. I hope that you are ok. Hopefully you canget that cleared up in no time and get back on the horse! |
|
||||
|
Susan- Oh how I hope it's nothing more then an infection. The worst part about me is that I expect the worst, because that's usually what I end up with...the worst. So I figure by expecting, I will accept it easier and not take things so hard...of course in the long run, it tears me apart and makes me worry non stop. I guess I just need to try and stay positive and hope for an infection which sounds funny, but it's better then other things that could happen!

Shawna sweets, I'm sure all you have is an infection. I actually suffer from high grade pre-cancerous cells of the cervix and have had to have a LEEP and have 3 monthly checks. I was terrified at first until I did my research and found out its very very rare when caught at this stage that it becomes actual cancer. You have done the right thing and I'm certain everything will be fine. If you want to PM me to ask more detailed questions I'm here okay hun? It will be fine!

Susan, yes my head is still spinning! I'm still not really able to take it all in so I'm just going to take it day by day. I'm currently dreaming about mid-night snacks now anyway as all this yummy food talk keeps getting my stomach growling. Hey, anyone else ever just feel like toast before bed? Weird I know, but its something I love to snack on. Must be a kiwi thing!

Alana and Shawna,
i too had pre cancerous cells that I had cryo and LEEP for. I have been clear fro three years and only have my once yearly check up now. It is quite common. I love toast especially at bedtime. Tea and toast. My Scottish grandma used to make it for me as a kid... It's so soothing, isn't it? |

Yum...now you're talking my language! Tea and toast is a favourite kiwi snack also. English too I think as my DH and inlaws all have it too. What do you have on your toast? Obviously I enjoy the kiwi spread 'vegemite'. But I'm also fond of strawberry jam or peanut butter. MMMmmmmmm....gotta go make some toast.
