DH wants to watch Gangs of New York and eat vanilla slow-churned ice-cream. So I guess I won't be on much.

I have had 1 job, been at it for 1.5 years. Before that 8 years of graduate school.
After my divorce, for extra money I worked at Willow Tree Chicken Farm(it's a deli-market) scooping chicken salad and making chicken My friend owns the place, so I get all the free chicken salad in the world!
Heidi and Shelly- DO you know Willow Tree? It is soooooo goood. I am craving it now- with pickles.

Oh and I worked as a secretary in the hospital for a few years during nursing school.

I just noticed the baby on my ticker was brown. I meant to choose the olive-tan one. Who knows how this baby will come out!! Hopefully she will have the beautiful Asian skin my husband has!

Did I tell you all about the OB nurse calling Asians- Orientals in front of me?

She said, I am sorry that we took so long but we had an oriental couple in here before you and they could not speak a word of English. I said, "Oriental? Like a rug?"
She stared at me. I said, "My husband is ASIAN". Asian people prefer to be called Asian if not by their country of origin."

I think she got the point.

Susan, my boss refers to people of Asian descent as Orientals also. I've almost said something to her, but I hold back. It sounds like she's talking about a noodle dish for goodness sakes.

Yep I can't do the tomato sauce either Shelly. I had some stuffed tortelli for lunch and it was almost puke city for me.

I came home from work and Derrick had a box of powdered sugar donuts on the counter ... Duh, not a good idea. I only had about 4 of them top with some chocolate milk - Delish! I was thinking of a Big Mac for dinner but then after the thought I kinda threw up in my mouth, that sounds gross. So I'll probably have a bowl or two or Apple Jacks.

Shelly how was the packing today? You all done?
Susan I noticed your ticker was a darker complected baby but I just thought you wanted to unique. LOL too funny, that is what my baby will look like, light brown.

My 2nd u/s is on Monday, I'm so excited to see the flicker again. This is also our last RE appointment, *tear, tear*. It is bitter sweet I guess, OB here we come.

Have any of your pregnant ladies been drinking ginger ale? It really helped me burp up the queazies when I was preggers, and I still drink it a lot. Kind of a habit now, but since I don't drink beer anymore, it's a refreshing second.

Devan- I think this baby will have dark skin as well. DH is Filipino and they have dark skin, more like a year round all over bronze look. It's a beautiful color.
So my ticker is probably the right choice.
I am eating two differet kinds of ice cream for dinner tonight, after I already had a bowl of steaming hot cinnamon oatmeal. It was yummy! I did not cook tonight 'cause DH and I were goig to try going out for dinner again, but I ended up puking and getting my afternoon sickness again.
Shelly- Nothing appeals to me either, except ice cream!
Heidi- You should tell your boss Asian people are not noodles.

Susan are you actually throwing up? I feel like if I went to the bathroom it would come out, so I sit still and take deep breathes afraid any sudden movement will cause it to come out. It is weird how it comes and goes.

Yes, the last few days I have been throwing up. Before that it was just dry heaving all of the time.
I have/had really bad reflux prior to being preg. So it's getting worse causing me to vomit.

Heidi, Susan, I'm an aimless wanderer too. I'm pretty sure I'm going to love Interior Design once I finally get settled into it, but I don't for one second think its the last thing I will do. I still want to get into writing at some stage, and many many other things. I've also done many different jobs too...in fact, its always been a complete nightmare trying to figure out how to make my resume not look so flaky.

As for tonights spag bol...it was very yummy so now I'm feeling bloated and sleepy and so might have to watch some CSI reruns to amuse myself. What are you all watching tonight? What night is Idol on??
