Alana - Lurk away over there... but you are absolutely right... pregnant until proven otherwise! I don't think a little spotting and a light HPT mean anything. Those HPTs are like paint samples! Every batch seems to be a little different. And I've been spotting/bleeding for months now. Definitely have DH take you to the clinic tomorrow. That is ridiculous not to do any tests until week 8. And, make them check your thyroid! It's very important at the beginning of your pregnancy. If you have to, this is the perfect place for a white lie... just tell them it runs in the women in your family and you've been very worn out lately. By the way, I told Havanjimms about your news last week and she was so excited for you.

Michelle - I am so sorry too. This is such an emotional roller coaster. Keep hanging in there.
Jen - I like the paintings and your room setup. I agree with Alana... I think a couple of white candles would look nice too on the mantle. Just something simple since the painting has such great colors. Oh, and my name is Rachael but I don't even notice anymore! It's never spelled with the extra "a" so I've given up a long time ago. Alana - I also just spent the day with my 8 month old adorable neice. It's hard. She's adorable and her parents completely micromanage her. She's just one of those easy going babies with very uptight parents. It's hard not to wonder what it will be like for yourself down the road. But, it will happen! And then we can all make our own parenting mistakes. Grits - It's hard to believe Entourage is over already. The season always seems so quick. Those baby alpacas must be so cute! I would be in love. The Lupron may just be good days and bad. I didn't have the horrible mood swings but I did have the occasional headaches. Hi Shawna! Hope you had a good weekend too! Ronni - How's Grandpa? What color did you paint the dining room? I'm going to download some farm pics and then I'll post. I was a little lazy though about taking pictures today. It was hard to get motivated to get out of my recliner chair on the dock ![]()

Alana-
Bleeding may not mean it's the end. Please sweetie keep your head up and think positively. I know how scary and disappointed you may feel right now, but it's not over until your beta is 0. This may be normal bleeding. A lot of women have bleeding all through their pregnancies. I am praying for you. Jen- i paint and sell my paintings! I do more abstract though and it does not look like it would match your others! I like your house and the glass! Some candles and some wood accents, like small pieces of furniture, chests, or just random wood pieces here and there would give it some warmth too! Hi Grits, Rachel, Shawna, Ronni, Shelly and Michelle Michelle I am sorry for the BFN. Grits how's the Lupron treating you?

Alana- okay I am more relieved...you said it was just light spotting. That is NOT heavy bleeding and NOT AF. Also, you are taking those HPTs very late in the day. There are a few explanations going on here. First, have you ever heard of a hook effect? This occurs when there is TOO much HCG present and you get a lighter band than you would expect. This is why pregnancy tests aren't used later in pregnancy. Second, it is possible that you have multiples- could explain high HCG AND the spotting. But you could have both with a singleton too. If you start to really bleed (like AF) then you must go to the ER right away. You need to be checked out. If it is spotting, then definitely call your Dr. and get in tomorrow. They should also check your progesterone level.
I am not going to discuss multiple m/c testing with you cause I don't think that is the case. I am going to be totally positive for you even if you are finding it hard to be so. Besides- sounds like you are tired from being pregnant!!! Also, I have read on many pee on a stick web sites that the line shade (light or dark) doesn't matter. Are the lines coming up before the time limit? If so, then no worries!!! Some women just don't get dark lines. You should relax tonight. Tomorrow you will see your doc and get some answers. Ronni- thanks for liking my art! I love making fused glass. So far I have sold 2 pieces, but both were glass necklaces. I am posting a few pieces I have lying around. I love making abstract things. My best pieces I have given to family for gifts. Most of the jewerly I have made was either given as a gift, or stolen by my MIL and GIL... I would love to make a piece for you The purple plate was an experiment I was trying with baking soda. I have made some paper weights in a glass blowing class (way too hard for me with my asthma!) and found out that baking soda makes these cool bubbles in the glass. I tried that with the purple round plate and I got some cool little bubbles (what I wanted) and a huge bubble. It was originall cracked with sharp edges (the big bubble) so I refused it and now it is a smooth depression and it is really cool. I have to play with that more. The orange/red/yellow on clear is a neat bowl I made and was going to give as a gift to my mom or MIL (can't remember) but DH stole and and refused to allow me to give it away. The rectangular plate was an experiment with Kasier-Lee board. It is purplish, and goes good with the other purplish stuff on the other fireplace mantle in the addition (I just snapped a photo of that too so you can see). Sorry to drag on about my glass and show it, but it is fun. And I realize that this post is probably all jumbled, as are my thoughts. Just kinda tired myself. Oh yeah, after Susan talked up the book so much, I just bought A few Good Eggs, as well as Conception Chronicals. I started reading C.C. first cause it is smaller and an easy read (and I am also in the middle of reading 4th of July by James Patterson, again!). I will get to A Few Good Eggs soon.

Jen - The glass art is beautiful!! How fun. I know you must enjoy having the art around the house and all the memories involved. I know the jewelry must be gorgeous too!
Susan - Post some art pictures too!! Alana - I have a book for you. It's called Fearless Pregnancy. I bought it and it brought me some relief. Each chapter talks about another common disablief and what the real science/reasoning is. Basically, how to ignore all the common myths that people are always telling you about. Here is a picture of DH and Cooper in the lake together today... I'm going to put a picture up of Havanajimms and me too with our tummies on the January group in just a minute. I look HUGE!!!

Rachael - Looks like you had a great weekend! I'll check out your belly pic in a few minutes.
Jen - LOVE the glass! What a great skill/hobby to have. I can see why DH confiscated the piece with the orange and red. Do you do all this at home? Sam has the "I'm so comfortable, I'll just stretch right here." posture of a happy cat. Our kitty is sitting on my lap right now wondering why I can't pet him and type at the same time. The dining room is going to be "Harvest Brown" and Smokey Blue". The Harvest Brown is khaki and the Smokey Blue is just that - smokey blue. The khaki will be at the tops and the blue at the bottom. Right now, it's two shades of blue that are too washed out for my taste. I did it about 3 years ago and finally admitted that I just don't like it. Here's the before picture. I'll post the after picture when it's done. Hopefully tomorrow night... Dining Room Before.JPG

Whoa- Aiden is gonna be a big boy! That is too cute Rachael! You are not going to be able to walk in a few months
. But I mean that in a good way. You definitely have that pregnancy glow!Ronni- I love that room. I really like the dark furniture. DH and I really love solid wood, and shaker style furniture, so we got our solid cherry dining room table when we lived in our last house, and now it doesn't go so well with our dark fireplace. Oh, well. I can't wait to see what the room looks like repainted, but I still think it looks great the way it is. Yeah, Sam has to be where the action is. I would like to have put the glad vase on the mantle or on the dining room table, but his 'wire tail' knocks things over. And he has to sniff and rub against everything! Post your art when you can Heidi. I love hand made things. I will look for some white candles. I have 2 crystal candle holders that had red candles in them, but over the winter when we had the fireplace on they kinda bent (stupid us!). What kind of holders/candles should we get?

Ronni- so how do you keep a table like that cat-scratch free? We had our cherry table for less than a week when our little poop heads put some nice gouges in it. Now it is permanently covered. We were going to have it re-sanded/buffed out, but the table was made specifically for a smaller space and I am thinking I want a larger table.
Oh, so earlier I noticed that my little turtle fell off my rose quartz bracelet. I am trying my hardest to not let this be a 'sign'! DH took me to a charm store to replace it, but they didn't have turtles. They did have an elephant, which I read is also a fertility symbol, so I got one of those. Also, DH took me to all the jewerly stores in the mall plus a Swarovski crystal store- they had a family of turtles for $50 that DH wanted to buy me but I wouldn't let him. They weren't charms, but would go on the night stand (actually the high dresser cause of Sam). Still light spotting-nothing heavy. Still hope...
