Okay if we are going there...
I got a couple of group shots, one more of Etienne sleeping in one of her various spots, one of the reasons why my coffee table has bite marks on the corners (that is Jake), and one of Jake checking out the snow. Shelly- I like your new avatar photo. Ronni- your good kitty sounds like a dream. We tell our guys not to climb on tables, but no dice. They do what they want. The cats rule this household! All our guys have claws, but they are indoor cats. We let them in the back yard when we are out there.

They always jump in our bags right before we go to leave... They get very upset when we leave them for a couple days... Speaking of my kitties... DH is sleeping (self-proclaimed cat-hater... I don't buy it, though.) and he's got one arm around Ori and he's got Frodo cuddled up in his "cubby" (when your legs bend at the knees, it makes a bit of a nook behind your legs... that's what my grammy always called a "cubby")... I'd take a picture but I think I see fanny... DH would most likely not appreciate me posting pictures of it... although, I am VERY tempted...
tee hee...Lord of the Rings fan would be Danny... Let me share the story... About a year and a half before DH and I got married, I decided that I needed a kitty to keep me company in my new apartment. I wanted a black, short-haired boy and I wanted to name him Orionis (I was big into Astronomy and thought it would be super cute) which is Greek for "The Great Hunter". Well, after looking at pet stores and realizing how rediculous paying money for a cat was, I looked in "Uncle Henry's" which is like a flea-market magazine in Maine. I found an ad for free kittens nearby and called and went and picked up my little black Orionis. When I got there, there was this runty, sickly-looking kitty in addition to my black kitty and when I inquired about him, they said they were going to put him down because nobody wanted him. I was horrified and said I'd take him, too... when I got home with TWO kitties, Danny just about had a heart attack (he wasn't on board with the one, never mind two!). I said I'd let him name the kitty if he would let me keep him... and that's what he came up with.

oh you gotta take that photo!
Etienne is definitely daddy's girl. DH did not want cats at first, but he agreed and we went to go pick up a cat at a place in Chicago called The Tree House. DH found this lump among all these crazy cats and fell for Etienne. I was in Kittenville (that is what they called it) and someone was taking Jake's natural brother so I felt sad and thought we should take Jake too. Then 2 years later at a farmers market in Davis the vet students had a project kitten thing going and I wanted to hold a kitten so they took Sam out and gave him to DH. Sam sat so still and just purred (he likes the calm cats- I like the crazy ones). The girl said she had never seen Sam sit for anyone before. Needless to say, Sam came home and he has never sat still for more than 30 seconds since!!! Oh yeah, so Jake 'knee nooks' DH (same as your cubby), Etienne sleeps spooned with him (she doesn't like DH to spoon me so she separates us) and Sam sleeps on my head. When Jake was a kitten he would sleep on my head and in the morning when DH would open his eyes, Jake would jab out and punch DH in the face! Once his eye swelled up a little. It really was funny...a 6'2" getting a shinner from a 4 month old kitten! When Sam came along, he kicked Jake out from mommy's head and Jake resents him for it.

So, Jen... you've got all Tabi kitties... they look like they all came from the same litter! Would you believe that my boys came from the same litter? They did! haha. They are both BIG boys...
And looking at Frodo now, you'd never know he was the sickly runty kitty I scooped up four years ago... Ooh, Rachael... what great markings that one has! Almost leopard-print!

Jake is a brown tabby, Sam is a grey tabby and Etienne is a torby (tortiose shelled tabby). They all do have similar markings, and at first look most say it is hard to tell them apart, especially Sam and Jake, but Jake is a 16 pounder and Sam is 11 lbs. Etienne is a bit rotund. None of them came from the same litter or even same parents. Same is from CA, Jake and Etienne from Chicago.
Rachael-that is one handsome tabby. Shelly- wow your littermates look so different! Looks like you have a main coon and a DSH black cat. I told DH about your DH's (Shelly) cat nooked with fanny showing. DH said he wouldn't be happy with a photo like that being posted. But then he just called me down to show that he too is cat nooked so I took that photo to show you No fanny showing...I love cat people. You are one of the good ones- taking the extra kitty. I have never ever bought a kitty- always get them from a shelter or pet rescue place. Jake is on the blanket, and Etienne is getting petted by DH...

Rachel, I snuck a peek at your room. It is so wonderful!
I am such a wimp.....I do fine until I sneek over to Jan. dd thread....so I tend to avoid it. Please tell the girls hello for me and give them a hug. I really am happy for all of them, and you too! Nice pic of DH and Cooper. ![]() Hi Sunny! ![]() Alana, it sucks that they will not monitor more closely! But try not to worry. Spotting is very normal. Hi Susan, I love that you paint. I have to say the black and white ones looks like a petrie (sp?) dish! Is it? Ronni I look foward to the 'after' pics. O.K. Rachel I just saw you posted more belly shots. I may have to sneak over again..... ![]() bummer I did not get through all of the posts....I will come back later and catch up all the way. I have to go...

Jen - DH and kitty look awfully comfy over there! I give my boxer a little morning massage rubdown and DH always laughs at me.
Shelly - The kitty is some sort of exotic leopard/tabby breed. His stomach is all spots. But, I've finally decided he has a home somewhere b/c he only eats like a starving lost kitty when I put tuna out. Almost no interest in regular wet cat food. I guess he just enjoys the extra attention and spends all day over here. Grits - That is so sweet of you to go over to January and check up on me. I'll post the pics over here next time too. I don't know why but I felt bad about posting a picture of Havana over here since she sticks to the January group. Don't worry, the tummy shots will keep coming and they're only getting larger! Grits & Ronni - When is your next u/s or check in??

Alana- How are you doing Hun?
Everyone's kitties are so cute...we once had a kitten but DH couldn't handle him and I had to give him away. Luckily my SIL took him and then she coudln't handle him and now he's with my parents....BUT....we hope to bring him home to us again soon. DH believes he has worked through his issues, jeese I hope so! (All we can gather is that maybe a cat jumped into his crib as a baby and startled him! So ladies watch your kitties around your kiddies!!) Anyways, I miss my kitty but love to take loads of pics of him when I can..here is Mocha. He's a bit cross eyed...but he's my baby! LOL

Shawna- I have never seen a crossed eyed cat before. But yours is such a cutie. I love those spots!
Okay, I could use some motivation over here. No need for any more PIAC this cycle. AF showed (B*&#!). It is weird. I have never spotted like I did this time. Even this AM I thought I had a hint of a second line on the HPT. Maybe I just had an early m/c? I am CD28... well now CD1. It wouldn't be so bad but I am in serious pain. I went to lunch with DH and a friend (this friend's brother is the GM at the new movie theatre so he got us a tour-the behind the scene tour is pretty cool, and free tickets!) and as we were leaving I just started to feel sick. So I came home (instead of going back to work) and I had just started. Well crap. And to top it off I feel like throwing up. Ugggh! So, I will call the nurse tomorrow (she has Tues off). She wanted me to come in for a CD5 u/s, but that would be Saturday and mean going into Denver. I hope she can do a CD4 u/s. B- no that is not a petri dish!!! It is much larger than a petri dish. It could be used as a bowl or a plate, I guess... Anyway, I am going to try and drag my butt back to work for a couple of hours... Sad day ![]() But tomorrow will be better- I will have a new plan ![]()
