oh my gosh, i don't even know where to start...you goofballs!

i just text messaged my ivf nurse and she said she would check on my embryos and let me know later today how they are and if we are for sure doing 3d vs. 5d. i told her i was attached to them and i can't help but need to know! she is so sweet. if it is a 3d i will go in tomorrow at 8:15 for accupuncture and then have the transfer at 9 and then accupuncture again afterwards. i can't wait to see my little embabies.

i have a question for my ivf pros:

am i supposed to feel "weird" from my ER still? i feel lots of pulling, pressure, some cramps and just a very weird pain? when i pee it hurts. not necessarily pain from urinating, but more pain and pressure on my bladder. they told me to monitor how often i go to the bathroom and to let them know if i am not going often enough. i am going all the time, it just hurts.

Yes, Amy... it can take days. But stay hydrated! When it hurts to pee, just make sure you never let it build up. Go every 30 minutes if necessary. It is like the pressure makes it worse. Try that. Your ovaries were invaded and it will be sore for a bit. Some people it is one day and some people it is 5 days. If it is really painful, contact your RE.

OK. DH left without me for the other errands but now I have to get to the salon. Ciao girls.

Tia-the group had to eat you because you were sick and we didn't want to waste medicine on curing you. I think you had cholera or something. But don't worry, the entire group subsequently died.

Susan-I believe you on the 5 cell thing. That is clearly a 5 celled embie. I was under the impression that the cells divided at the relatively same rate until they start to differentiate at the blast stage. But I am not a reproductive biologist (in fact, that was my least fav. class in grad school...if I only knew then what I know now I would have paid more attention!).

Kris-the 'eating' Tia thing was part of the Oregon Trail thing on Facebook. We all joined FB back a bit back. It is good to go and check up when the forum is down. Sign up. Then search for us or we can search for you. Shawna set us up with a private group that others can't see so if you do join, she can invite you into that group.

Ronni-I was going to text you Good Luck on my way to the clinic yesterday but I didn't want to disturb you if you were at your interview. I hope it went well.

Amy-I can imagine that you are still uncomfortable from the ER. Can you call your RE about the pain when peeing?

April-yay for starting Lupron!!! Why so early?

Amy..I think it is normal to feel that pulling or twinging sensation after ER. Your ovaries are probably starting to shrink back to normal size. As far as the bladder pain, not sure. If it continues you can always call the RE's office to check it out.

My shot went fine..unfortunately, it's like "old hat" now. Mel and I are going to a friends 30th birthday party tonight..Her girlfriend is renting out a portion of a bowling alley for the party..I guess it's a big room with it;s own lanes plus it has pool tables and stuff. I think there is going to be a DJ there as well. Should be fun..We are going to stay at a hotel nearby so we don't have to worry about indulging and driving..Come to think of it..I probably shouldn't be drinking now anyway..That's ok..I'm not much of a drinker anyway!
So I won't be around tonight to play with you guys..will be back tomorrow afternoon sometime.

Have fun at the party April.

Amy, my first IVF I had varying pains after ER for over a week or more. This time it's nothing like that. Of course I worry that I'm not feeling much just tenderness. When I wake in the morning I'm achey before I pee and during and then it gets better. If your pain is intense though I would definately call your nurse.

Alana – Yay! I was thinking about you all day yesterday and wishing I could get online to get your update. I needed Jen’s text message! I’m sure you are still exceedingly nervous about how the pregnancy will progress but for the moment we are all excited and all very optimistic. Grow, baby, grow!

Ronni – it sucks about your job….hope your interview went well yesterday and you get a new job with twice the salary and benefits and only half the responsibility. Can you please please come work with me? The animals are so much more fun than people, really.

Jen – congrats on the good test results. It’ll be the beginning of March before you know it and then you can be a pregnant 35-year-old. And you'll still be younger than Susan.

Josee – what kind of kitty meds? I am still waiting to hear about your animals. I am very nosy when it comes to people's animals so spill the beans!

Amy – congrats on your good ER and I’ve got my fingers crossed for a good ET for you. Could the process be any more stressful?

Heidi – I am so glad your ET went well and I am impressed that you are not planning to POAS. Don’t let Jen the test-pusher hear, or you will be testing before you know it.

Heidi, Jen, Susan and everyone else who I have inadvertenly worried….sorry! I am feeling fine, just insanely busy at work. We are trying to hire a receptionist and a vet assistant so I have been taking applications, interviewing, etc. It is hard to find people who are cheerful, competent and who want to work. I want Ronni to move to Georgia and take over my office!

Hello April and Shawna and Brenna and Martie and everyone else.

Welcome, Kris! You are absolutely right that Jen is a bit, er, peculiar. But we love her anyway!

Hey girls - I'm here. I didn't inteview yesterday after all. I had my day 3 u/s and b/w for the clomid challenge test and that took priority. It wasn't really a great opportunity but it would have been nice interview practice. I may meet that guy for coffee later next week.

I'm doing fine. Getting lots of calls and being treated to lots of cocktails by former co-workers who are as shocked as I was that they let me go.

DH and I are mulching all our beds today since it's almost 80 degrees and sunny!!! Beautiful day...

Well, I'm not usually a signs person because I would hate to set myself up for further disappointment, but Jen has been getting me thinking of these things. So moments ago, DD found a sheet of stickers someone sent her that we didn't know she had. She's pretty possessive of her stickies. She started putting them all on a piece of paper collage style but then said "mumma I'm going to give these little ones to you" and proceeds to put them on the back of my hand. Guess what they were...........two tiny little ladybugs.
Of course seeing my delight she continued to place a tiny smiley face and butterfly and further ladybug on my hand too, but I thought it was pretty special that the two she choose for me first were two wee bugs. ??

Okay, now back to being in complete denial that we even had a transfer done. Then I can't be disappointed.
