The site was down for hours and driving me nuts too!! But, I did watch a good movie with DH. Fracture with Anthony Hopkins. One of those legal mysteries with the twist at the end. And, I didn't guess the ending at all. Love that!

Susan - I don't think Mexican and surgery recoup would make a good match either. But, where is DH?? Can we at least send him on an ice cream run for you?? My 70 lbs. lap dog is trying to squish me at the moment too. The doctor didn't give you anything stronger than vicodin? I usually have percocet after surgery and I had oxycodine once too. Now that really knocks out the pain! Be sure to have something in your stomach when you take the pain meds to help with the nauseousness. Even just a bagel or any kind of bread. Maybe a PB&J? Oh, and I am hoping to find a Northeasterner to move down to Atlanta and snap up this house as a bargain!

Heidi - I want to see the hair pics too! I'm determined to get to the salon next week and do something. My gray has appeared from nowhere!

Jen - Maybe you need to take up belly dancing for a few days? Some gentle hip swaying could be just what you need to move those eggies over! I think it's a great idea to trigger and then see what happens. 3 eggs is a whole lot more than any of us would ever have a chance at naturally! Don't worry about the RE laughing at your crying session yesterday. It's a guy thing. Just no sympathy gene. Can the scientist work on that??

Rach- I love that! I am totally going to belly dance after the trigger to get those eggies going to the right!
As for the sympathy gene, the problem would involve getting the DNA into the male cells. The best way to do this is by some kind of viral vector. I could work on this, but if I sat down and thought about it, I would think how unfair it is that guys don't bleed every month or have the hormonal issues. So I probably would put it in a HPV (papilloma virus) vector- not the strains that cause cervical cancer (they can't get cervical cancer and it would be harmless to them, but they could pass it to women), but one that caues painful warts on either the feet or hands (so that women couldn't catch it as an STD). Then it probably wouldn't get FDA approval so I would have to devise a way to slip it into the water system or something. This is a lot of work. And with the good possibility of the male "macho" gene product chewing up the 'sympathy' gene, rendering it useless, I would have to find something to block out the 'macho' gene.

So, if you have followed me, I will be needing a lab and some start up money to get started. That investment home could make a really fine lab!!!

I love matzo ball soup! And challah!. In our house, on passover we make a brisket and on easter we do matzo ball soup and pork chops. Or maybe we switch the meats? Can't remember. This year we had matzo ball soup both nights. And DH made it for me after my surgery.

Heidi you need to get a new digital. I want to see the feathery look!

Alana- Unfortunately the clinic is 8 and a half hours away. We were discussing switching clinics though as this is getting completely and utterly ridiculous!!! I'm beginning to wonder if those half wits have lost my file or something!!!! GRR. DH tried to cheer me up by making me Schnitzel...it didnt' work but supper was good. lol.

Heidi- I giggled when you said you had Indian food and thought of me. I love it but I'm so sorry you're not feeling well now. I hope you feel better soon!

Rachel- We just watched fracture as well...DH had it figured out pretty quickly...I wasn't too far along behind him but it was definately interesting...kept my attention, which not a lot of movies these days can do! LOL

Ok, Ok, Jen. I get the point... we've got a lot better things to do with our time than manipulate our DH's genes. Well, I know it's a universal problem. Want to know how?? Because I have been trying to sign my DH up for (no joke) Daddy Bootcamp at the hospital here and all the classes have been full for three months! That's a whole lot of women pissed at their DHs, hormonal, and thinking their hubbies need a lot of professional help before warping the next generation with bad diaper changes! Haha!

Shawna - I can't believe you figured it out. I kept trying... Of course I was also clicking refresh every few minutes to get our site back! Opps! I just told DH I couldn't believe you figure it out too and he said he knew too. Apparently, I missed a vital scene when the cop went to visit the DA during my pee break. Urgh. Oh well.

Matzah ball soup is the ultimate cure all! We need to send some up to Susan...

Thanks for the excuse Shawna! I'll blame the distraction on Aiden kicking me since I was finally laying still for a whole two hours today. Either that or he can sense weird sound waves from my wireless laptop!

I forgot to mention that my hairdresser was heavily pregnant last night and I had her big 'ole belly pressed against me for an hour or so. She was quite agressive with it, a couple of times I was being pushed and manouvered around by her bump. Maybe I absorbed some good healthy fertility luck.

Today is a real hibernation day. I think it's supposed to rain all day and we have no car today. We have quite a bit of catching up to do around here after the guests.

Hibernation day here too. I don't feel like doing a thing! Ronni, I'm going to be waiting here to find out about your eggies too. I can't wait to hear about how many of them became healthy little embabies.

Oh, and I've never tried matzah ball soup. I'm gluten intolerant and I have a sneaking suspiscion its ladened with the stuff. Still...sounds like it would be worth the stomach pain, I will have to try some oneday. Yum, now I'm hungry, must go ask DH what hes making me for breakfast. hehe

Good Morning Girls! So much to catch up on from yesterday...

Jen - I want video of you bellydancing! I think that is a stellar idea. And although your description of what it would take to manipulate male genetics is quite involved, I do think it's worth the time and effort. I'll be an investor! I can't believe the nerve of that bride/friend of yours. It's really not her business to share. I can sympathize. Somehow my Executive VP at work found out about my IVF stuff. He was in my office the other day chatting about work and I was telling him that my DH is currently with CountryWide but that I expect him to be let go soon with all the layoffs. He actually said... "That type of stress can't be good for the ol' sperm count, huh?!" Now, I love this guy and I'm one of his favorites at work but come on! It's not like we were out guzzling beer and this just slipped out - he was serious! Some people have no clue. Anyway -- trigger, bellydance and BD. We'll be thinking of you and hopefully all our positive energy will shift the rotation of the earth just slightly enough that gravity will shift your 3 eggs to the correct side at the exact right moment!

Rachael - How funny! We watch Fracture last night too! Well...DH watched it. I dozed on and off and finally gave up and went to bed. I was really enjoying it but just couldn't keep my eyes open. I had DH tell me the ending this morning. Nope - I didn't guess the ending. I had a completely different theory. And I just showed DH your investment property and begged him to get it for me so we could move over by you! That was a short conversation. He loved the house but didn't seem too keen on the price tag. I wonder why? You think it has something to do with his pending unemployment?

Heidi - So excited for your upcoming FET!! And I'm relieved to hear that you have a plan in place for your visitors. That should take some of the stress away and give you the peace and quite you need to incubate! Where will Stella be for all this? And I'm thrilled to hear that the PIO isn't as bad as you remember. A certain section of my arse has just recently regained feeling (it was completely numb) after my last round of PIO injections in June. Took my first Estrace this a.m. and will start PIO tomorrow night!

Alana - Sorry to hear about the pending D&C. I've never been through that. I have to say that your attitude and energy is amazing. I'm in awe of how you're handling yourself and just know that all those good vibes will bring you a baby soon. You're so strong and will be such a kick-arse mommy!

Shawna - I'm with Jen. The "best" doesn't mean it's right for you. In fact, there's an RE in town here that has slightly higher success rates than my RE but I've heard such negative things about him and his staff that I chose not to go there. I know how important communication is to me and I can't imagine going through this process dealing with a fargin' answering machine on the other end. My REs office ALWAYS answers live and typically transfers me to a specific nurse (my favorite) on demand. Good bedside manner counts for so much when it comes to your health and well being.

Susan - I'm so sorry you came home feeling like such c r a p yesterday and the DH doesn't get it. I'm such a meanie that I would have probably told my DH that while I was in surgery they realized that my problem was caused by some contagious thing that came from his testicles and that the next step was to rip into them with a rusty knife to clear the problem. Maybe then he would understand what you're going through? I do hope you feel better today. And I hope you're getting some good pain meds. I love good pain meds.

Okay -- so I thought if I typed long enough the phone would ring with my fertilization report. No luck yet. They said to expect the call by noon. I didn't sleep well and had dreams all night that none or 1 or 2 fertilized. I'm still trying to figure out how the most they EVER counted with u/s was 12 follicles and my RE predicted 6 before going into the OR and I came out with 14. I'm sure they're not all mature and "fertilizeable" so I've got my expectations set at 6 when I get the call today. (But am secretly hoping for more.)

Well crap- I won't get to see the fertilization report until after the stupid bridal shower. I got everything and all my rose quartz on for you today Ronni!!!

Okay- I had the most F'ed up dream last night. First there was an escalator that went up right next to the one that went down and neither had handle bars or anything to hold onto and I was terrified to get on it but had to (I've had this dream before). Then, as DH and I were driving to a store to buy kitchen towels for this shower (dreaming about the wedding shower???) I plucked a 'hair' out of my chest. This 'hair' was about 6 inches long and about 3x as thick as a cat whisker. On the side it was marked "glaxico plexus on it. Okay- what the hell does that mean? I woke up freaked out, made DH go google 'glaxico plexus' (it comes up with (glaxo plexus-a joint venture with GlaxoSmithKline and Plexus). Maybe the 'hair' was hard to read cause it was dark in the car.

Seriously-I gotta stop taking clomid! I get some strange dreams, but that was just bizarre! I feel like I want to go back to sleep and erase that dream. I don't want some stupid pharmaceutical company's logo being pulled out of my chest... I feel like I should be committed...crazy clomid woman with crazy dreams!

Heidi- hopefully some of those pregnant belly vibes rubbed off on you.

Jen - Here's my interpretation of your dream. (I always have wierd ones and always try to interpret them.)

Two escalators without rails = your two ovaries but not two tubes to support them.

Scared to get on = scared to Trigger and BD with eggs on incorrect side and ending up disappointed.

Buying towels for bridal shower = just that - the pain in the butt experience of buying yet another shower gift.

Pharmaceutical hair in your chest = worry about moving on to injectibles.

Whatcha think?
