Sorry about the sore bum, Jen. That's no fun... I don't know how they expect us to want to BD when we're all bruised and battered... ick. But good luck with that none the less.

And what is all this with the Syrahs and petite syrahs... and who is David Bruce and Stags Leap? I'm so confused... wait... okay... so David Bruce Petite Syrah is dark plum purple; complex, effusive aromas mingle cedar, wood, eucalyptus, herbs, asparagus, flowers, mild berries, smoke, meat and butter; clean, deep, mildly grapey, peppery, delicious, straightforward, but slightly vegetal and low on varietal fruit (unripe?), flavors; medium to full body, slightly rich; well-balanced (flat?); quite tannic, with a little bite in the long, very dry finish. 13.5% alc. Grapes from Paso Robles and southern Monterey. Haha... or so the wine review so notes... ugh, I don't know the first thing about wine. I guess I fall in the less classy caste portion of this forum... perhaps a new hobby for me could be to become a wine connoisseur... haha... I'll look into it.

Just got off the phone with my REs office. I will be going in for a Hysterosonogram (not a hysteroscopy like I had first believed.) on Wednesday before I can get full approval for this IVF procedure. Eek. That will be fine, though, right? They won't find anything they wouldn't have found already... this is just a precaution... right? Anyone else had this procedure done?

Heidi how are you!?! FET'd yet? I'm thinking of you and can't wait for your update.

Well, we did a 3 day transfer at noon today! I had 4 embryos each with 8 cells that were all considered "good quality". There we several others of "average" or "poor" quality. We put 3 of the good ones in and they'll watch the others to see if there's anything to freeze.

I can't help but compare this to last time when we transferred in the following:

1 - 8 celled embryo - good quality
1 - 7 celled embryo - average quality
1 - 6 celled embryo - average quality

The fact that we have 4 good ones all at 8 cells today seems so great to me!

I'm in my happy place now...my bed with my laptop, my remote control and my kitty sleeping at my feet! Doesn't get much better than this (until later when I make DH bring me ice cream).

Jen - Hope your bum feels better. Mine never hurts after my PIO shots until the next day. Nothing sexy about it, huh?

Shawna - You're too nice. Really. You deserve to be treated better than that!

Shelly - I'm with you on the wine. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE sharing a bottle of wine with a friend but I'm not terribly picky about it and I'm certainly not knowledgable. I did find a Pinot Gris (white) that I fell in love with several years back. It's from Oregon - a vinyard called Chahalem. I think I like it because the night I first had it was just such a great night with friends and food. Seems silly but that can make a wine taste really good to me! Just the people, the food and the place!

EEESH! Mazel tov, Ronni! Four good quality embabies is such great news! You rest and enjoy the ice cream that is to come!

I, on the other hand, am banning myself from the forum until I am finished writing these three lesson plans that I must turn in by tomorrow morning. So I leave you all with hugs, love, and stickiness.

Goob, congrats on your tranfer!!!! I am so excited for you! I am so glad you are in your happy place.

Girls I am so sorry I have been out of touch. I have been so unbelievably busy this past week. I had my sisters three kids most of the last week (she got a boob job ). My dd had a sleepover bash with 14 kids at the party and 6 slept over. It was crazy to say the least! And then the clinic called and said that instead of doing my hystescope local I had to drive there in WA to do it. So off I went for the weekend..... RE said all is good. I am clear for transfer on the 29th so far. My headaches are better sincce I got to reduce my lupron, but now I just have to deal with the weepy moodiness. I have to fight not to go back to bed all day. I have mixed feelings about doing this again. I guess I am just scared.

Sunny goodluck tomorrow!!!!

Martie I have the same feelings of forgetting things I should be doing this time around. How was your u/s? And I too am a Survivor fan.

Shelly, I am so glad AF finally showed! I love the elephant too. I hope it works for you this time ,so you do not have to wait.

Peachy, how are you doing? Are you resting enough?

Susan, I am so sorry about you surgery! How are you doing today?

Shawna, that really stinks that your clinic is ignoring you like that. I do not know what I would do.

ALana, how are you doing?

Hi Jen, yeah for trigger! sorry for the soreness, but at least it is for a good reason.

Hi guys. Thanks for all the well-wishes. We are doing the FET at 1:40PM if all goes well. They will give us a call around 9AM to let us know how the thaw went. Man, I hope some of them make it.

Shelly I've had a HSG before. Not alot of fun I must say, but nothing to worry about. You get to check out how your squiggly tubes look on a screen and it wasn't painful for me personally. I believe if you had tubal blockage issues it can be unpleasant. I wish they had mentioned that there's a possibility of a gush of blood when you get off the table and some leakage from whatever they squirt up there, so you may want to take along you own comfortable maxi-pad rather than the horrible ones they give you. I'm sure they advised you to take Advil or similar. It was slightly more embarrasing for me because the radiologist that was behind the scenes was someone that attended my baby shower (for Stella) and whom my husband works with. She didn't make herself known for my sake probably but I could see her in the shadows. The whole radiology department hosted my baby shower so they all know who I am. No incognito visits for me. She would have seen me hobbling my way back and forth to the table in my black socks and clogs. I don't know why they didn't give me booties?

Ronni, great embryos!!!! I wish they would put three back in for me, but they will only do two.

Shawna, hope you get that callback soon. Whenever I don't get a response I try and sneak up on them via the main number. I can be a persistant little pest when I need to be. That's when I do get the courage to ring at all. I have a phone phobia sometimes. Thank god for emails these days.

Peachy, I'm happy you had a fun and successful trip to OldNavy. If you are still the need for a few more things, I am always fawning over the maternity clothes at Target. They look quite hip. (I just felt like I was 65 years old when I typed hip!)

Hope the rest of your girls are doing okay.

Grits, we missed you.

Ronni - WOW!!! What an incredible report. An amazing transition from the first go around. This is just so exciting. You might even have some snowbabies but you won't need them with the twins!! What a great message to read today. Rest up and these are your 24 hours for DH to wait on you hand and foot with ice cream sundaes!

Shelly - My HSG wasn't painful either. I did take the 2 Advil about an hour before just like the nurses recommended. And, socks are a good recommendation since my feet are usually cold in those lovely stirups. Hopefully, you'll have no issues and it will all be good from here. I like the wine description

Heidi - Tomorrow will be nothing but good news for you too. Just keep thinking positive for those little guys. Will you do bedrest tomorrow too? I'm a target addict too! And, I already bought one of those cute maternity dresses! I bought the black one with spaghetti straps and a cute tie in the front. I wear it all the time with a little white tee for work. Target is the best!

Grits - Glad to hear everything is going right on schedule around there. Sounds like you and your sister have had busy weeks!

Shawna - No phone call?? Can you just go sit at the doctors? This is important... even if you are a nice person.

I've been busy getting ready for an agent caravan at my investment house tomorrow. Basically, a little luncheon where any agents can stop by to see the house. I had one back in April and about 40 agents came but it's so hard to predict. I had to put out fresh flowers, get paper goods, platters, etc. today. I was lazy this time and just ordered pre-made sandwiches from Panera and will be having a big Greek salad, chips, cookies, brownies... wish you all were in town for a free lunch!

Ronni.... that is so exciting! I think perhaps I was onto something when I said how many might end up sticking...you have three little embabies in there right now fighting for space! Now, how long do you think you can hold out before you poas I wonder? lol

Heidi....Wooohooo, the FET day is almost here. You girls are definately cheering me up this week. So much good news is in the air I can just feel it.

Jen, I'm expecting a BFP from you too this cycle, just make sure to keep up the belly AND baby-dancing tonight and I'll bet we see a little miracle happen.

Shawna, thats crap hun. I hope you have seen a doctor, or that you have someone booked for tomorrow. Otherwise its time to drag yourself to the ER if the bleeding keeps up. I know the down feeling though, I'm p i s s e d off at my upcoming D&C on Friday, however DH and I have booked a cottage away for next week to recuperate so that should be nice. I wonder though if I can use a hot-tub after it? I think I will regardless, things can't get much worse than now. I will have to find internet access though, I am NOT missing out on all the BFP's!!

Rachael, I love getting staples from Old Navy. And you are right, they do sizes for normal girls, not stick insects weighing 70 pounds. Some of us have butts naturally. Although, lately with all this stress I keep going through I've been losing a little weight. Can't hurt though I guess.

Brenna, I'm glad to hear you are doing well. How big a cup size did your sister go for her boob job? I've always thought I would do that after having kids. They do tend to go a little saggy after nursing don't they? I might get a whopping double d just for fun. hehe.

Susan, hows life hun? Drinking anymore wine? I love the Australian red wines, like Rosemount Estate, Yellowtail etc. For white you can't beat the New Zealand 'Cats pee on a gooseberry bush' or something crazy like that. Its yummy!

Shelly, good luck with you hysterosonogram. Is that the one where they put fluid into the uterus and tubes? If so, I've had that and it wasn't too bad at all. Just a wee bit of cramping and then it was over.

As for me, I spoke to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and they do take people after two consecutive miscarriages. So I am having a referral sent through tomorrow and should have an appointment in a couple of weeks. I finally feel like someone might actually figure this issue out, and I have read the doctor is pretty good at doing just that....so thats such a load off my mind. No more annoying lazy doctors who don't do tests until three or more losses. Yiiippppeeeee!!

Alana - great news about the recurrent miscarriage clinic! So glad you'll be able to figure that all out.

And as for the HSG mix-up... perhaps I did not explain it properly. I had a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) almost two years ago where they squirt a dye that can be seen on an x-ray into my uterus and out my fallopian tubes. They told me that my tubes were SO clear that they didn't need to use all the dye... and then I had two ectopics. Bah. Well, THIS time I'm doing a Hysterosonogram, or what they call a "Saline Ultrasound," during which they squirt saline to fill up my uterus so that they can see any polyps, fibroids, endo, lesions, etc. that may be in there. They'll need a full bladder, too. Apparently, the more fluid they can pack in there, the better/clearer they can spot anything in there that doesn't belong. I was told I would have some cramping after the HSG and I didn't... so I'm assuming this will be a similar situation... after periods with PCOS and endo, I'd take "mild cramping" every day for the rest of my life.

Ew, look at me... I'm a forum addict. No, I haven't finished my lessons yet... but I just couldn't stay away. I'm going to go yell at myself now. Be back when I'm (more) done.

Yay Alana! So glad the clinic is willing to see you. I think 2 miscarriages is 2 too many and obviously they tend to agree. I hope your D&C goes well and I'm very jealous of your pending cottage trip.

Heidi sorry I thought your FET was today. Now I have something to look forward to tomorrow!! I'll get to keep logging on here to see your update. I'll send good vibes your way!!

Grits - Sooooo good to hear from you. You've clearly been busy! I'm thrilled to hear that you got the go-ahead for FET on the 29th. I can understand your mixed feelings. This is all so difficult no matter how you look at it. It takes smart, strong women to go through this and it just so happens that it's the same thing required to raise great kids. We're here for you if you need us!! When I'm at my 20 year high school reunion on the 29th, (one day after my positive beta) I'll raise my tonic and lime in toast to you and your snowbabies!

Shawna - It is possible to be and nice person and still be assertive. Write down what you want to say - get it all out on paper and you'll feel more confident on the phone. Even if you're just talking to a machine, you can get your message across. I'd also suggest setting an absolute deadline (in your mind) for them to get back to you. I'd suggest the end of the day tomorrow. If they don't get back to you by then, consider it a closed book and move on to another healthcare provider. Quite honestly, they're a s s h o l e s for treating you like this. I don't care how good their statistics are.

Rachael - I want to come to your luncheon!!! I want to buy that house! I hope you get good traffic and an offer or two as a result. How exciting! And, yes...Target is addictive. Can't walk out of there without at least one or two tops. Sounds like you got a darling dress and I bet it looks great on you! You ARE one of those cute pregnant girls - trust me!!

Jen - You better not be reading this all night. You'd better be belly dancing and making googly eyes at DH. Bomp chicka bow wow!

Oh - and Jen - I keep forgetting to answer your question. No, Ronni isn't short for anything. Just Ronni. It took me about 29 years to finally like my name.

And for everyone...

I work for the parent company that owns Chili's, Macaroni Grill, On the Border and Maggiano's. On Monday, 9/24 Chili's will be having the annual St. Jude's fundraiser day. ALL proceeds from ALL sales at ALL Chili's that day will go straight to St. Jude's. If you plan to eat out that day or night - do it there. It's a great cause!

Shelly, sorry didn't read your post properly. No I haven't had a Hysterosonogram. I was supposed to but due to scheduling conflicts I had the hysteroscopy. Not sure what that one is like.

Grits, I'm so mixed about this cycle too. I think we're in the same boat. I have moments where I think, what am I getting myself into again. It takes a lot of bravery on our parts. Patting myself on the back.

Ronni, I think I didn't give you enough props for the great results you had. You must be so relieved. Hope the wait goes quickly for you.

As for wines. I know NZ has a greatly celebrated white wine called Nobilo White Cloud. I really don't have any clue about wines otherwise. Red or white, how classy.

Alana, the cottage trip sounds lovely. Take photos and show them to us. Give us something to takes our minds off all the other stuff.

Hello everyone, looks like things have been very busy around here I was only off for one day. My ultrasound went well today. My lining is doing great, I have 3 eggs at 12.5 (only need those to help get things ready for the frozen ones) The doctor did increase my gonal f to 150 iu after he got my b/w results but he does not tell you what the results are so I have no idea where those are at. If all goes well I will have the ET on Sunday (how exciting) I will know more on Thursday.

Grits-my ultrasound went well, the doctor was all in a good mood and chatty Kathy like. Its just kind of weird when they talk to you like nothing is going on while you have a wand stuck in places it really should not be.

Heidi-good luck on you Fet tomorrow

Alana-great about the new clinic. I hope you are about to find out everything you need to know.

Ronni-great on your transfer. Lots of prayers and sticky vibes.

Rachel- I would like to come to your realtor party too. I love panera and your house is very nice.
Martie
