Hey girls. Thought I'd post a thread so we can catch up and find out which stage in our cycles etc we are all at now. (If I missed anyones name please join in too as the title bar only gave me so much room!)

So, I'll start.

I had an ultrasound on Tuesday to see how things are doing in there since the D&C, and everything is all clear. My latest beta test finally came back at below 5 and I'm seeing my RE tomorrow about getting a prescription to bring on Aunt Flo. Yay!! I also had a bit of a setback at the appointment which I also posted about in the IUI section, as the RE is having my DH tested for something called DNA Fragmentation (has anyone even heard of this?!) as it can supposedly cause miscarriages and I guess low motility must be a warning sign for it because she saw his sperm analysis results and ordered it immediately. I'll know more about it tomorrow morning when we get the results and I'll post the outcome after work. So basically you could say I'm just waiting for Aunt Flo.

Anyway, thats me in a nutshell....where are you all at?

Hey Alana,

I just got the call that my HCG levels are starting to fall. I'm sure it may take some time but I'm wicked excited since it's been the same for about a week. Hopefully DH and I will be able to start but not until September as you know it takes a while for HCG to come down.

It's great that your levels came down and are able to start, you'll have to keep us updated.

Auburngirl thats great about your levels finally dropping. Its really frustrating when they are still high and you are no longer pregnant anymore isn't it? That has been the worst for me, waiting for them to drop, so when I got the call from the nurse to say they were at 5 I almost shouted the house down! lol. Anyway, hopefully you will be getting a visit from Aunt Flo soon also, and we have to all keep each other posted so we can give each other encouragement during our first treatments since the miscarriages. I know I'm going to be nervous and will need lots of hand-holding throughout.

Hi Alana, so glad you results were good. That would have been a relief. Did they make any observations of note from your u/s or was it literally all clear in there?

Auburn girl, you've got a great attitude. Glad you are seeing some changes.

Well here's where I'm at: I think I'm ovulating right now, have a lot of symptoms, so maybe AF will come in about 10 days or so? I hope it comes without problems. My u/s showed quite a few cysts (I guess that's what happens when you had 33 follicles) and some fluid in the uterine area. Noone seems concerned. My levels were 9 a week ago so I'll test again next week. Ummm, what else? Having some pains when I walk alot and lift heavy things, so I think it could be the cysts. I still feel full around the abdomin area, and still have 10lbs that won't budge. I still can't fit my clothes, it stinks.

Well girls, I am glad things seem to be looking up for us. Sunny, I am right there with you with those extra 10 lbs...

Okay, my update. Today I went in for my HSG. Holy crap did that hurt...
Anyway, the GREAT news is that my right tube is WIDE OPEN!!!!
After, when DH and I were leaving the hosptial, I told him that I thought I was going to cry. He told me to go ahead, that he already did (while the test was going on and while I was getting changed). He is SO sweet.
Oh, the antibiotics are wreaking havoc on me. I just feel so sick after taking them.

AND, I got my hair colored today so I am now a reddish blonde.

I think the 10lbs must be for all of us! When I had the D&C I was weighed on one of those digital scales all the hospitals use and I was horrified to see my weight was more than I'm used to. I even remember saying to the nurse 'Ugh...I need to lose some weight', which is a ridiculous thing to be thinking about before surgery! Anyway, lets just hope we all get pregnant really fast so no-one will notice how fat we've all got!

Jencat, on the healthy tube! That is fantastic news! You can still try natural for awhile as you had planned to do. Sunny, its great to hear your cycles are back to normal also. I know for a fact I won't be ovulating anytime soon this cycle, they are too out of sync, which is why the provera will be needed, however it honestly sounds like we should all be starting fresh new cycles very very soon. As for the ultrasound, I will be seeing my RE again tomorrow morning so I am going to grill her for more details on what 'clear' actually means. Hopefully we will also get some good news about the SA too.

Has anyone heard from Grits or Shawna lately? I hope they are both doing okay. I know Shellyhume has been posting so I think shes doing alright, and Peachy is looking our for everyone on the board as she always does so I think shes okay too. It seems like maybe we are all starting to do a wee bit better don't you agree? Keep up with the updates though...I worry about you all when you don't post. Oh, and Jencat, post a pic of your new gorgeous red locks won't you? I can't wait to see them.

Thanks Diva... I will post that picture. I just got a new digital camera and was having fun trying to take a photo of myself-took about 30 pictures to get 1 that I could live with. I will try to get a better photo in the daylight tomorrow cause it really looks light in daylight. I'll post both to compare! I tried to get DH to take the photo, but he was on the phone. Even so, I told him to take a head shot only (to get a close up on how much crazy hair I have!) so of course he takes a full body shot-with me in my Erasure t-shirt and undies... not a photo I really want to post...the undies are my end of period undies cause I was told I may spot after my test this AM. Not my nice victorias secret undies. Oh, well.

Haven't heard from Grits or Shawna in the last few days...

I was so excited to read everyone's updates. Wow. Looks like we'll have an exciting few months around here! I can't wait for all of you to get started. Oh, and JenCat you'll have to let us know if redheads have more fun than brunettes

I'm doind good. Still on restricted duties b/c of this whole low lying placenta thing. I won't know much more until I go back to the Perinatologist on Aug. 15th. This baby definitely likes to keep things exciting!

lol...Jencat, I have a few pairs of undies meant just for that time of the month. No point ruining Victorias Secret now is there! I can't wait to see the pics also. Post them as soon as you can.

Peachy, I'm glad you are getting the rest you need. Hopefully you are right about things getting exciting soon too. I guess we'll just have to see how we all go won't we?

Oh, and my RE was a complete dunce today and got the days wrong when DH's results will be back. It won't be until tomorrow so more waiting is required. I'm also having a bit of a fertility clinic dilemma at the moment. My new clinic is very large and busy and in the mornings when you go in for BW/US etc there is a HUGE waiting list. The place is very stylish looking and my doctor is great, only shes so busy I doubt she will ever remember our names. I kind of think of it as the Walmart of fertility clinics...enormous and impersonal. My old clinic however is much smaller, the waiting list it tiny and the nurses are absolute sweeties. My RE is not fantastic, hes more of a scientist than a doctor I think...however he knows my name and we can see him more often. The reason we left in the first place was to get more attention...it hasn't turned out that way. If you were me, would you just skip the Walmart place with the nice RE and go back to the small clinic with the nice but aloof one? Its very confusing, however both are ready to start IUI as soon as I am so its just a matter of choosing. lol...I feel like a fertility clinic whore!

Well, sadly, all of my undies are pretty drab. I really need to do something about that.

Diva, I think you could try and get some stats on their sucess rates to compare. They may not be very different, but they could be. Perhaps some places have more sophisticated technologies, but you are right, the smaller places probably spend more time treating you like a person and not a number. It might be the sort of thing you just have to follow your gut. I'm sticking with my RE because he seems to know his stuff, I was treated well and he got me pregnant one time, maybe he can do it again. I never thought I'd be pregnant ever again, and I like it while it lasted.

Sunny, thats a good idea about looking at the clinics stats. I hadn't thought of that...its a good way of narrowing down the choice at least. As for the undies, you made me laugh at the drab comment, I do have some nice ones but lately even those are starting to have that greyish tinge all lingerie eventually gets. If I didn't feel so blah I would take a trip to La Senza (do you have that in the US?) and find something sexy. Although...you kinda need to be in the mood to do that really...and I most definately am not! Since the miscarriage I just don't feel like it. Do you girls ever feel the same way?

absolutely. I have nice panties, but they are scrunched up in the back of my drawer...not to be seen or heard from for awhile. I went into Vickie's the other day and just walked in and turned around. Not in the mood...

Okay, stupid picture project. I liked the way my other camera downloaded pictures better.

One photo was taken last night. I thought my hair looked a lot lighter during the day. The other one I just took- it was a cloudy day today, but I think you can see a difference.

I can't believe how bad I look in photos. I gotta stop taking pictures of myself!!!
