Unhappy Going Through a Natural Miscarriage....what should I expect?

Found out two weeks ago that I was pregnant. First ultrasound showed everything was ok. A week later they discover no "yolk" in the gestational sac and not enough fluid. Told me not to expect a good pregnancy. This past Thursday, they found a heartbeat and the "yolk" but the yolk was always there - just abnormally large and covered the whole sac. And they was something wrong with the baby's chormosomes. Right before the last ultrasound i did have some spotting and as of yesterday too. Last night the bleeding got much heavier and i'm cramping so bad. The cramps having for a few minutes and then go away and come back about 5 minutes later. I have an appointment with the GYN on Monday. Can anyone tell me how long their cramping and heavy bleeding lasted? This is all a bit too much to handle. Now I'm not even sure if I want to continue trying for another child or not.....

I am sooo sorry for your loss. I've been through 2. First, light spotting after seeing a heartbeat then no heartbeat so knew I was having a MC. They did a D&C the next day. Next time, spotting and I was 1 day shy of six weeks and they did an US and showed me to be 4 weeks 2 days though wasn't sure if I was MC so wanted me to come back that monday (what a fun weekend) so went home and bled/cramped all weekend! I knew what was up. I think only the first 3-4 days were horrible...may depend how far you are. Then light bleeding for next few. I am so sorry you are going through this. For me the D&C was easier cuz it was out the next day...just easier emotionally for some reason. I wish you the best! Don't give up! (Sorry, I know that isn't what you want to hear) Have faith in God.

Having a m/c is HORRIBLE and I'm so sorry for your loss. If you're asking what to expect with a natural miscarriage then I can help. You'll feel like you have AF for a longer period of time. I bleed for almost 2 weeks. With a D&C, you have to wait a couple of months to try again. With a natural m/c you can wait for the next AF (which was exactly 28 days from the last day I bleed) and try again. I ended up cycling again 6 weeks after I miscarried and that really helped me emotionally by giving me something to look forward to.

I'm sorry for your loss. My miscarriage didn't happen naturally, so I don't have any advice. Just hoping that you aren't suffering too much.

Hi hun first let me say i am so very sorry for your loss. I went through this in July and now i am currently awaiting the bleeding for this miscarriage. It is tramatic and lonely and i cant do anything there except send my prayers but i can tell you what i experienced. i had very little cramping and passed tissue when i went to the restroom (this is the worst part) and i blead off and on for two weeks. I hope that it is fast and as comfortable as possible so that you can move forward. Please feel free to pm me anytime.
