As of today, beta is 238. I'm really stunned. I missed the call (out of service area) and it popped up while I was at the grocery store. I'm sure people had to wonder why I was cryng while choosing milk!!

At this point, RE does not want to repeat the bloodwork and want to schedule for U/S at normal time. I know there is still such a long, long road ahead to a healthy birth but I am so in awe to still have a shot. I had even spoken to my nurse and the donor egg nurse today at length about the donor egg program.

I am encouraged and looking forward to what god has to offer my DH and I. Hi again!! I spoke to the RE office today and my ultrasound is 3/31. The nurse mentioned that she while she tries to be optimistic always - she was really surprised too. She talked to the RE who wondered if it could have been a lab error on beta # 2. Either way, I'm extremely grateful that I'm still moving forward!!

Neta - good luck on your April cycle. I'm so glad they could get you in so soon. Are you going through the military or through a private RE?

Chantal/Kristen - today is your ultrasound!!! Please let us know how it went!!

It sounds like we had similar experiences. My beta wasn't anywhere near to doubling initially. It may have been because of a vanishing twin ... I'll never know. When I went for my 3rd beta, I fully expected to get the worst news imagineable only to discover that it was finally rising appropriately. Now, I'm at 18 + weeks. I sure hope you follow the same pattern!

PS -- my RE did the same thing ... after the 3rd beta, no more blood work. He just scheduled an u/s, which I had to wait 7 weeks for since it was over the holidays!

Kathryn - Thank you so much for sharing your story!! I love hearing successes period but really love them when a succes came from something that seemed so scary/negative!!! Congratulations to you and I do hope I follow in your footsteps!!
