Haven't posted in a while

Hi all! I've been checking in from time to time to see some updates and get the encouragement and info that this site often gives! But I haven't posted in a while. DH and I took a break for a while (so I could get my booster immunization shots and recoupe from our MC of 1/07. We changed RE's and needed to do a lot of test--including another HSG---devasted to find out that I have a t-shaped uterus! But got alot of strength from this site showing many of you with a t-shape and delivered babies! We were supposed to start IVF this month--but got pregnant---delighted---then saddened. The 1st beta was fantastic at 150 but 4 days later---I had tremendous discomfort in my abdomen and began to spot. Saw RE--nothing in uterus--but beta made great increases to 425! 3rd beta--decrease to 276-and heavy bleeding --thought I had a another chemical pregnancy and judging from the bleeding--thought it was gone. 4th beta--increase to 369. Re told me to come in for a couple of ultrasounds---nothing detected in tube or uterus! But 5th beta---increase to 529 RE suspected an ectopic and gave the doses of methotrexate last Wednesday. I've been reading some threads and I don't feel anything happening with the methotrexate except nausea after I eat and intermittent headaches. I have to go in tomorrow for another Beta. For the first time in my life, I am praying that the numbers go down! Can anyone tell me what I can expect with methotrexate---more bleeding?
Sorry so long!

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I haven't experienced this, but you could probably PM Jencat215. She is very knowledgeable and often has the answer. Good luck to you. I'll say a pray that things work themsleves out.

I'm so sorry you have been going through so much sadness. I hope the future brings good things your way. Are you taking meds for the MTHFR btw?

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I am starting to spot today --hoping that it means the numbers may come down tomorrow. I decided to take it easy today and not go in to work--not sure what my body is doing.

Lizzy--with the MTHFR-my RE has flagged it but not convinced because of this to give me heparin. However, recently, something else (minor) was flagged with my bloodwork--complement proteins-and just as a precaution, they said they may treat me with heparin for my next pregnancy.

I know many RE's no longer believe heparin is necessary for MTHFR. However, they DO treat with a prescription strength B vitamin and folic acid. If you are not on one I'd ask about starting that as well.... Good luck and keep us posted.

Yeah, my RE's alittle up in the air about the heparin. I read about the vitamin B and folic acid but my RE hasn't suggested it yet. I will have to ask. Thanks for the advice. I can't take folic acid now until the methotrexate is out of my system. Are you familiar with MTHFR as well?
