2nd miscarriage with Q?

Hi - I've had my second miscarriage today. Beta levels dropped. I should be 5wks5days. Do any of you know when I should be expecting AF or when I will be able to get going on the next cycle?

This is a stupid question but dropping Beta's never reverse do they?

Thank you,
Sandy

The only time that I have heard of dropping beta's not leading to a miscarriage is when there is a "disappearing twin". (which does happen it happened to my sister!). How high were your levels?

I am so sorry it is a very hard thing to go through. During my last miscarriage I started to bleed once my numbers reached pretty low like 90 I think. Everyone is different and my numbers never got very high but it was still heartbreaking.

My doctor told me to wait at least one cycle before we try again but I have heard from other sources that with an early natural miscarriage you don't have to wait and can get pregnant right after the miscarriage.

My miscarriage sounds very similar in time frame to yours and I bleed on like day 24 past ovulation/IUI. It was much harder emotionally than physcially but the first day the bleeding was like the worst peroid ever with very painful cramps. You are in my thoughts.

Hi Sandy,
Very sorry for what you are going through. It is not an easy thing. I agree with smoothmelo about the disappearing twin. That is the only time I've heard a beta dropping and the pregnancy continue.
Usually a month is enough time, but it does depend on how long you were pregnant. Some doctors will suggest 2 months. After my first miscarriage I got pregnant after 1 1/2 months with my second IUI. This resulted in an ectopic pregnancy, but I did get pregnant. arrived about a month after the miscarriage. However, it took 3 months to come after my recent ectopic.
Have you read "About What Was Lost?" It really helped me a lot during my miscarriage.
