no it is not to late to start charting. Remember you only chart to see if you actually did o.

As far as the tussin. i have heard to take it when we start testing with the opk. i start testing on cd 10 i take a tablespoon every morning and drink at least 6 8oz of water per day. That is just what i do. Last month i had great ewcm on the day of o and the day before. I do plan on doing it again.

It is alittle more stressful but will be worth it in the end. Did i tell that my dr is give me a year to be on clomid. I am just wondering if that is a good idea. I have heard it really increases your chances of cervical cancer. I have pcos so i really dont need more of a risk than I already have because of pcos.

My this month was only 3 days long. Thank God.
I hate she is a pain in the butt. I hope we get our this month. I am such a meanie on clomid. I really try to control it but it is hard. I can not help it.
Last month I was not as moody on it. The 1st month and this month I have been so hormonal it is not even funny. I cant wait to see if we are going to o on the same day I hope we o on cd 13 or 14 too. The sooner the better.

So are you from FL or do your parents just live there?

my parents live in florida but i was born and raised in nj, and still live in the northeast. they moved there about 5 years ago. my father is a bit older than my mother and was ready to retire and to have warm weather. my mother just turned 60, so i'm heading down there for some birthday fun.

i will start taking the robitussin on day 10, just like you, since it makes sense for the two to coincide. i actually started taking my temp this morning, and using my chart on fertility friend.

that is strange for your doctor to give you a fully year on clomid, i have heard no longer than 6 months, but i've also heard from people who have been on it for 8-9 months. maybe it's a question of dosage and the higher the dose, the fewer times you can use it. i haven't had too many side effects. i had one hotflash last month and that was it, although two nights ago i nearly had a meltdown at the grocery store when my husband was being indecisive about what to have for dinner.

my af was also pretty easy. after one day of horrible cramps and heavy flow, it's like i don't even have it. one day of medium flow and tuesday and wednesay barely anything. as of today, i am done.

Hello to you both... I am new to this page but have been experiencing many of the same situations. Currently on my second round of Clomid (100 mg). First round (50 mg) no o. I haven't ever posted anywhere else but after reading your threads today decided to give it a try. Am just feeling very blue and lonely. In one of the messages you mentioned being emotional around time of o. I am a bit of a wreck today (day 14) and a little crampy. Am hoping that this might be it... Anyway thought I would say hello. Good luck to you both.

Lorrie,
I've been temp charting for about 9 months and have tried OPK's occasionally (with little luck). I think they are pretty tough to read. Also, my cycles have been very unpredicable/long so OPK's have been unreliable to use. It's nice to talk to someone who relates to the situation. DH wants me to relax... he's been great but relaxing is tough to do at this point. Hopefully will have o this month and maybe that will settle me down a bit. I have a nine year old daughter from previous marriage and have been remarried for a year and a half. Born and raised in Kansas ... Nice to meet you.

Vanessa

vanessa,

you might want to try the digital opk's. they are a bit more expensive, but at least you don't have to decipher any lines. i had a problem last month when i got a definite positive, then a definite negative only a few hours apart. then i was overanalyzing everything and decided this month to try the digitals. if your cycle is really long, you also might want to try the really cheap ones they sell online or at a dollar store.

and since this is only my second round of clomid, i haven't noticed that i got any more emotional last month when i o'd. i've only had very minor side effects.

i'm getting to o next week, but in the mean time, this is spring cleaning weekend, so i will be keeping busy and hopefully, not fixating on my ovulation.

lorrie, i lived in the suburbs of phoenix for two years and i remember such awful dust storms, you couldn't see a foot in front of your face. besides that, my car was always covered in a fine layer of dust and so was a lot of my house if i ever kept the windows open. ugh.

vanessa i use opk called Answer it has 20 test in it. it is pretty cheap like $15 and has a coupon for a $1 off. You could buy 2 boxes and be covered for 40 days. the digitals are great and it is a wonderful idea. The line colors can sometimes be harder to read. When I get my surge on opk it is so clear. But you mentioned that your dr upped your dosage so it could be that you just didnt ovulate on 50 mg. So if you did not o then you probably didnt get a lh surge which is produced right before o'ing. Lh is what opk detect. Make sense.

So is everyone seeing a RE or just an OBGYN? i am just seeing my obgyn? Love him!!!

i am trying to relax this month as well. Just trying hard not to think about it. Hopefully we will all have this month and then our little thread will be about pregnancy instead of ttc.

Yeah the dust is terrible down here. I live in the South Plains so there is cotton fields everywhere and that just makes things worse with allergies. My car always looks like a dust ball. Then sometimes it rains just alittle and it is like raining mud. Lord. It drives me crazy. Weather lately as been insane. So how is the weather in your state?

well here in new york, the sun finally started to shine and the weather warmed up. last weekend we had over a foot of rain and it was only in the 40's. today my husband and i spent a good 3 hours getting up dead grass and acorns in our back yard. tiring, but satisfying.

i am just seeing my ob/gyn for right now. and i love him. he's been delivering babies since the 60's, and makes me feel very comfortable in his office. he's one of those doctors who doesn't have his patients fill out a medical history form, he talks to you about your full medical history instead. love it!

as it turned out for me with the opk, i probably did o right around when i got that positive, but then the negative so soon afterwards confused me and frustrated me and i was concerned i was mistaken. this time i am just going to try the digital, since i know i can't mess up ready what a smiley face means!

edit to my above post: i was perhaps wrong about the side effects, i've gotten awful headaches the last two nights which do not respond to tylenol, food, a quick shot of caffeine, nothing.

sorry, three posts in a row for me. but this is the only site that i like going to.

anyway, i missed taking my temp this morning, and tried it this afternoon, but its significantly higher for me in the afternoons than mornings. is it better to just skip today than to enter a drastically different reading into fertility friend?

Robitussin

Hi Moriarty,

I am new - but I would like to say that the Robitussin works. I prefer Mucinex - which is a 12 hour pill. There are no other side effects at all. Just be sure there is no decongestant in it. The active ingredient you want is guaifenesin, nothing else. It is also good for your spouse to take to decrease ejaculate thickness, especially if he has allergies a lot.

Good luck. I have taken clomid three months and this month an HCG shot. I have a persistant pain on my left ovary that makes me suspect ENDO so I will have a laproscopy next month if no go this month. Frankly I am ready to forget it for a while because the mood swings are so bad. Otherwise I think the clomid would work fine.

well hello to everyone. How are you all feeling today.
I am pretty good.

I also wake up late today and still took my temp its was higher as well. but i still charted it. Fertility Friend will leave a open circle to show us that that day something was different. Remember the coverline is just a visual tool for us to use. It has not significant meaning. The only time that is really shows us anything is after we o'd. That is when it is so important to take our temp at the same time. We want our temp to stay up for 3 days to verify that did indeed o'd. then if our temp stays up for 18 or more days we are probably pg.

I hope that this month is our month. Yeah we had snow for easter. Snow we were angry. We have had tons of small tornadoes all around us. We are actually under a tornado watch right now. The county above us actually had a tornado touch down. it was in a cotton field so lucky noone was hurt. Today it was windy but 79 degrees. Yesterday was beautiful 81 and 3 miles per hour wind. Of course I worked until 5 but the evening was great as well.

Yeah the digital are pretty clear either a smiley or a blank face. Good luck on o'ing. I think we will make it before you leave to see your parents. You will have to let us know it was over there.

Hello all... Have been enjoying a nice warm weekend here in KC. Went to a Royals game yesterday... they lost but it was 80 so who's complaining.
I may have to try the OPK's again... the multiple pack sounds like a good idea. My temps have not gone up yet but I'm not too worried about it yet. I've just been seeing my OBG so far but we're considering an RE. I really like my OBG too though. I used to be a pharma rep and sold PNV's for 2 years in her office. She is very nice. You are right about my not o'ing on 50 mgs of Clomid. They moved me to 100 mg's and I guess we will see?? The moodiness seems to have evaporated for now. Feeling much more optimistic. DD is 9 and I got pg with her on BC. Who knows! DH had SA 3 mos ago and everything looked good. Thank goodness!! Hope everyone has a great Sunday.
