Could I be pregnant?

This past week I have had heartburn, this is new to me. I had a very light period that began the Sunday before last and lasted about 2 days. My BBT dropped but not below the coverline of my previous cycle. I am so nervous about seeing another negative and that I am just wasting another pregnancy test... I have had some mild cramping off and on... Has anyone else had this type of experience and been pregnant? Please let me know.

I'd just ease your mind and take the test!!! Maybe you'll be pleasantly suprised.

When I was pregnant one of the first signs for me was heartburn. I never get heartburn either so it really got me hopeful...and it turned out I was!!!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you . But I definately think you should test!!!

Are you having any other signs?

I am feeling bloated and tired... I will test tomorrow just to know. I have felt a little nausea and my breasts are more tender and seem engorged but I don't know if this is just my hopeful mind creating this for me. What is a fact that I can't just imagine is that my temperatures are more consistent than they have ever been during this preovulation stage, (sorry I am having a mental block coming up with the technical words) We'll see what tomorrow morning brings.
Thanks for your encouragement

POAS. This is the first cycle that my temperatures are consistent. They are higher than my previous cycles so I was thinking that maybe this was it.
I have a prolactinoma and I am thinking that I may have my prolactin levels in the normal range(I was close last test and upped medication again) so my body may be producing more estrogen than it has in however long... Good luck to you all and thanks for the support!

Could I be pregnant?

Hi Andi,

I too have spent month after month torturing myself the same way - looking for pregnancy signs early on but ending up with a .
Curiously, I also have prolactin issues. I'm now in the tww again and it really is so hard to just wait and for either a or nasty .
I've had the same things - leg cramps, swelling etc. arggghh.....

Hey Mickee,
What are your prolactin levels? I am also curious to how long your cycles are. Even now that I am at a "normal" prolactin level my cycles are still around 45 days long. Just curious.

Curiously reading your post and looked up prolactinoma. I hadn't ever heard of it but my cycles are very long also, is it diagnosed with a blood test? or something different. It sound rare from what I read. Is it something they specifially test for?? Sorry if these are silly questions, it is just amazing how there are things that can be affecting our cycles and fertility that we don't even think about!

There are no silly questions, really! I was diagnosed because I was "milking". I would leak milk when I pinched my nipple gently and my breasts were extremely sore. I really didn't get these symptoms until about a month after I stopped birth control pills. I also was getting severe head pain, usually around the same time of month. It is diagnosed with a blood test.

I didn't know that milking could be a symptom of anything besides pregnancy. I am sure that must of been frustrating considering you want to have a baby. Did you have symptoms long before they diagnosed you? I had a blood test in Oct. and they said everything "looked" normal but it is hard to know what that means sometimes. I am just excited because my temps are still up this morning (even though I was and down all night with my sick doggie!) Thanks for the reply and saying there are no silly questions! It feels like there are a lot of them through this process...

You know hind sight is 20/20. While I was on BCPs every once in a while my nipples would be very sore and there would be a little crusty on them. It wasn't ever consistent and it never lasted more than a day. I also had these wierd skin breakouts. I even had one on my breast that lead to mastitus (sp?). I would also get a rash and it was around the time that I would stop the active bcps to start my period. My doctor didn't know what it was and ordered blood tests where everything came out normal. (This was before I was trying to conceive so I don't know what hormones he checked for) Because the breakout were painful he sent me to a skin specialist who just said that these were basically pimples... I didn't buy it then but I didn't know what else to do. I did switch bcps to Seasonale which then I only had a period once every 3 months. Those symptoms did go away. I will tell you that the skin breakouts were not on a list of side effects from a prolactinoma but I feel that they were a symptom of my hormone levels being so screwed up. I also began to get head pain. It was different from a head ache in the severity and they came on really quick and didn't ever last more than 5-10 minutes sometimes less. When I started secreting milk I thought I was pregnant and I hadn't had a period in a month and a half so I spent a lot of money on pregnancy tests. I went into the doctor and they specifically tested my prolactin levels.

If I were you I would just ask the doctor what normal means? What things did he/she test for? My prolactin levels were not near as high as I have read about others on the internet.

Are your temps still up? Sending your way.
