After getting the results of my AMH and only being given the option of egg donors, I went for a third opinion. I have some injections left over and thought what the heck, it can't hurt to try one more time.

I am so glad I made this appt. I went in there and right off the bat I told them that I am not interested in IVF or egg donors...mainly because of financial reasons. She made note and told me that it will never be brought up unless I choose to.

After having 4 cycles with clomid and my lining suffering because of it, she informed me that they don't use clomid in there office just for that reason! woohooo!! So, we have a plan. I will use femera and menopur and hope that I can produce just one or two quality follicles....as it only takes one!!!

If that cylces ends up in a BFN then she will put me on BC pills for 3 months. She said that sometimes the BC can help stimulate the ovaries. I will go off for 4 months and can be monitored, do the Femera, IUI, or try with nothing.

I am a bit excited to see how things are going to go but also have my guard up as well. I don't want to let myself get too overly excited about things. I think I am just more happy about someone finally hearing what my concerns are and not just out to make a buck!

I will also have my FSH tested again. Last November it was 10. She said that the AMH test is so new that before this test they solely relied on the FSH. I know that 10 is not too good but it could be a lot worse.

She also cleared up for me that AMH only affects the quantity and not quality of my eggs. I received 2 different opinions on this and that is one of the reasons I sought out another opinion. She said that in all of the studies that she has read it is quantity. I think too, with this test being so new there could be a lot of things that they just don't know about it yet.

Either way, I have had a great day after the appt and thought I would share!

I am sooooooo happy you had a third opinion. Good for you for taking control and letting her know who is in charge..lol I am so happy you have a plan. I hope and pray that this will work for you. I am here cheering you on . Just take it easy and remember to still take the robustussin. I know I wont let this go but It can't hurt. I know that this is how I got my DS.
