New to this forum..Question about FSH , LH, and Estradiol levels. Please help!!!

Hi all,
I'm a 25 year old female and to be honest I don't quite know what my diagnosis is. I've been told I have PCOS , I have also been told I don't have PCOS that I have ovulatory dysfunction. I have normal menstrual cycles but I only ovulate with clomid, 50 mg's..no pregnancy with that though. DH , he has severe sperm issue's and I are getting ready to start our first IVF cycle but I am concerned with my levels.

Clomid challenge test January '09:
Day 3 levels
FSH 9.8
LH 4.8
ESTRADIOL 33.-0
Day 10 levels
FSH 10.4
LH 13.5
ESTRADIOL 196.2

July '09 levels
FSH 9.1
LH 6.1
ESTRADIOL 34.2

The FSH reference range for postmenopausal phase states 16.7-113.6
The LH reference range for postmenopausal states 10.9-58.6
The ESTRADIOL reference range for postmenopausal phase states <10-39.5

My worries are that my level's aren't good considering everything I have read online. My doctor says they aren't a concern. Does anyone know if these levels look good? Would anything below the postmenopausal range be normal? Any help will be greatly apprecated, thank you!! Good luck and baby dust to all of you!!

I am no expert but your FSH is alittle high for your age. If you have a high FSH, this means that your ovarian reserve is diminishing. I have about the same FSH and my RE was concerned. Also, due to my age. You would be in better shape because you are young. FSH numbers are supposed to be under 10.
What has your RE told you? Did he do an Antral follicle count?

Thanks Lisa for the reply. My RE told me the my FSH is normal and that I don't need to be concerned unless it is over 16 but considering what I have read online that just seems a little odd.

That is odd because I have been to 3 RE's and they all said under 10. I would get a second opinion and ask for an Antral follicle count on day 3. This will tell you how many follicles you have. Please don't worry though, you are young and will have a baby!!! Good Luck!!

Confused,
Sorry to hear about your failed IVF cycle. I have been told that the cd 3 e2 level's should be less than 40. What were you told? Every doctor seems to have their own opinion. Good luck!
