Fragile Eggs anyone?

I was just told a few days ago by my RE that I have "fragile eggs." He said this is premature for my age of 30. He said that it is my genes and there is very little I can do about it. Does anyone else know if they have "fragile eggs?"

I think you may need to call the office and make them explain it to you. I goolged the term and came up with your post here and pretty much nothing else. All the other sites were talking about how human eggs are fragile but not that it’s a condition. Is your FSH high? Maybe the Dr is using it like a term for POV.

Not very helpful but it will bump your post back up, hopefully someone will be able to give you some help.

Hmmmm!!!!

I got a second opinion on the fragile egg thing. The second RE told me that the egg quality can make them fragile. The egg quality can be affected by how they are stimulated. I was hyperstimulated (I was vomitting, retained fluid, etc.). He said that this probably affected my egg quality and most likely does not have anything to do with my genetics. So $14,000 later, I wasted TIME and MONEY at Seattle Reproductive Medicine. Insult to injury, they told me it's my genetics and other lies!

FYI - Do not go to Seattle Reproductive Medicine. They lie. They also messed up my embryo transfer! They had to change the catheter because they embryo was retained in the catheter! Then they lied to me and said that it has no effect on the outcome! I don't have to be an embryologist to know that will affect the embryo's chances to be bounced around from catheter to catheter! They are holding my one frosty hostage, so I have to be nice to them. If they mess this up, I'm suing for my money back!
