O.K. I was just informed today that my 4d FSH level is 15.3, and I don't get it, because at my last sonogram before my iui, I had produced SIX follicles over 15mm. One was 30.5 and another two were 22...and that was just on 100mg of Clomid...

My doctor is being rather vague...but he did have the nurse schedule a meeting with me on Wednesday to "discuss my options..."

Grrr!!! I don't even know what to think, and I'm a nervous wreck.

Does anyone know why I could have low ovarian reserve but still produce a good number of follicles? (Not that any of them actually took...)

All through Clomid and injections I produced above average follicles and excellent sizes. then, upon beginning IVF, they noticed my follicles were tapering off. This month, at 39, not during an IVF cycle...I did not even get a period. The way it was explained to me was low reserve and follicle production etc. can come on at any time, age is sometimes a factor as are using fertility meds, weight, etc. They are not certain. They can speculate but my doctor had stated the best thing to do is push on and do IVF ASAP to increase chances. Good luck!
