My best friend and I both have Tricare. She has agreed to donate her eggs to me and my husband who after 7 1/2 years of marriage are childless. Has anyone gone thru this? Does Tricare even cover all or some of it and what is the correct process and what do I do? What does she do? Please help. All and any info would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks and God Bless!!

I know a lot depends on where your stationed.
Here in Arkansas Tricare will only cover "natural" fertility treatments. Meaning it will NOT cover anything related to IUI's or IVF's. But I've heard some bases that are close to special military hospitals that treat infertility...do cover IVF type procedures...so I'm sure they would also cover egg donations as well. The best thing you can do is just contact tricare directly and find out what they do and don't cover where you live. If it's not covered there you may consider asking if it can be done at a facility that does cover it...if you travel to that facility to have all the procedures done...or maybe even consider PCSing to a place that covers it.
