No one has posted anything for awhile but I wanted to write and let you know I totally understand. My husband and I have been TTC for 2 years. My SIL started trying for her 2nd (first child was 5 yrs old at the time) 4 months after we did. She got pregnant in July and had her son in April - and now she is due with her 3rd at the begining of May! Pregnant twice while I've been trying. She knows we've been trying since before her and whenever I talk to her she asks me if I'm prego yet & when I say no says "you need to get on that". Oh I want to smack her. And my BIL has the nerve to tell my husband, "Oh we'll just give you this one". Stuff like that isn't funny & doesn't make us feel better.

Also, I have two friends at work who are both prego and due within a week of each other, two friends at home due 3 days of each other (one is my SIL), one friend in my hometown, three friends from college, and another 8 friends (some friends of friends) had their babies in 2008. It's everywhere and so frustrating!

I just had my IUI today, so I'm hoping to add myself to the list....

Oh girl I know how you feel. When I was ttcing my daughter my sis and baby bros girlfriend were pregnant. People would always ask me when are you going to have a baby. Ugh we just started seeiing the doc again to help us conceive. We were trying on our own with no success. hoping you get a soon!!

I have been dealing with infertility for 8 years almost. We were lucky and got pregnant in nov 2005 and our daughter was born aug 06. We are currently ttcing #2. I also joined a infertility support chatroom on yahoo. I have been going into that room for over 4 years now. They gave me alot of support while ttcing and when I was pregnant. This is the first time I have joined a site like this though. I am currently in the 2ww since I think I ovulated and we did the deed. IF it dont work this month I will be doing femara and possibly IUI. Depending on what my husbands sperm analysis shows.

let me tell you... I had posted this on another thread so if you have already read it, I'm sorry but I felt like this was a better location!
let me just tell you about my situation. first of all, my sister is pg and only because she 'forgot' to take the bc that i gave her. my mother in law gets free samples from her work and had given me a years worth of the pill right before my DH and i started TTC. i gave them to my sis b/c i figured i wouldn't use them and if i needed more my mother in law would get me more. my sis claimed she forgot that i gave them to her and wasn't using anything until she went to the dr again. that was only 3 months after my DH and i started trying! and it would have been perfect if i would have gotten pg then b/c i am a teacher and would be due may 13 and have the summer off to enjoy the baby but instead it is my sister!
before my sis got pg, some friends of ours told us they were pg. it was the day after our first try of BDing after we started TTC. needless to say, their baby was born a few months ago. when i was telling my sis and mom about going to the hospital to see him, you will never guess what my sis said... 'that must be hard for you?!' i was like WTF? are you serious? you think that was hard for me? how about the fact that you are pg and you are not married, have a loser for a bf, you have no job... i could keep going but i will stop. i just couldn't believe that she made that comment.
shortly after that, a girl that i went to hs and college with found out that she was pg with twins. well, she ended up having a mc and lost both babies. but the very first time that her dr said it was ok to try again, SHE GOT PG WITH TWINS AGAIN! luckily i don't see her that much, we have just been email and texting and stuff. otherwise i don't know what i would do. i feel bad that she had the mc but she gets 4 babies before i get 1?! what did i do to deserve this?!
i also teach pre-k in a very low income and un-educated area so on a daily basis i see pg moms of children in my class and other classes. i feel like saying 'why are you having another child? you don't care for the ones you have!'
as if all of those pple being pg wasn't enough, my first day back to school after the summer, another teacher i work with and i were comparing stories. we discovered that we were both TTC and were on the same CD. then, you guessed it, she got pg and i am still struggling. yeah, she had tried for a few months prior to that and i am happy for her but now i have to see her on a daily basis, watching her belly getting bigger and her getting more and more excited because she is having a girl (she alreay has a boy).
additionally, my cousin's wife is pg too but i am okay with that b/c they had tried for 3 years and she referred me to her dr b/c she said he was very good.
i cannot wait to see who else gets pg before me! i don't know that it can get any worse! =(
this site has helped me to deal with all these situations better. i now know that i am not alone because for a while i thought i was.

Gianna- sweetie, I personally do no like the support groups, I was weepy the whole time listening to all the losses and young deserving couples who wanted a child. These forums are amazzzing! Try the conceiving in 20's support group under infertility support. Does your husband have normal sperm counts b/c at your age your FSH and egg quality should be very good? I noticed you have one tube. I would try 3 or 4 medicated injectable cycles and than move on to IVF. If you want a baby quickly ivf if the best way they put it all together in the lab, choose the best embryos and put one or two back. My little sis got pregnant w/o trying much and I had some mixed feeling but was very happy for her. Well it was ectopic she lost a tube. Very hard to accept. Unfortunately women in there 20's just don't understand the concept of loss or trying so they may seem to rub it indirectly in your face. Be strong and keep you fertility private otherwise folks will cross the boundaries. I must say emotionally infertiiity is a very rough journey.Wishing you peace.

harpjs - why do you take progesterone to get ? I just started taking Prometrium (progesterone). My RE told me to start taking it 2 days after my IUI and continue to do it until I have a (then I have to continue til 6 weeks) or til I get . The nurse, on the day of my IUI, told me to take a PG test in 2 weeks and if I got a to stop taking the progesterone b/c taking it could make me NOT get my period. So it confused me that you say you took it to get .

From what I understand, since I am not ovulating, the dr said he isn't sure when AF will come so in order to not wait and waste time, he has me start taking it when he realizes that I haven't ovulated. Apparently about a week after you ovulate, your progesterone levels should be in the teens for medicated cycles and need to continue to get higher if you become pregnant. The last reading I had was 7 days after what I thought was an LH surge and it was 1.4. = ( So by taking the progesterone, I am tricking my body into thinking that I ovulated and when I stop taking the progesterone, the drop makes AF arrive 2- 14 days later, usually 2 or 3 days for me.

Oh, ok. So when the nurse told me to stop taking it if I got a it was so then I would get AF. I get it now. Thank you. I've done two rounds of clomid and this is the first month on injectibles. There is so much more to do and remember and more medications to take. And I understand why I'm taking them when the dr tells me to but then I read people's stories and get confused again. There is so much to all this. We all deserve for it to happen for us. Maybe even more than normal people (just for what we have to go through).

ballerinagirl- we had all our test done last year, and my DH is very normal, perfect swimmers. so, yes, i figured it would be easy to get preg when we started trying, but unfortunatly its not. my mother and my sister had no problems, so that is why i am overly emotional sometimes. I had a hydrsalipinx on my right tube and had it and my entire tube removed last year. And after more tests, they discovered i dont ovulate regularly. so, we started our first round of clomid a week ago.

Hello everyone. I recently found this site looking for some answers online after we got the news that our first attempt at IVF failed. My Fiance and I have been together 6 years and we've been TTC for 3+ years. I come from a family that has almost prided themselves on being super fertile. My grandmother came from a family of 9 siblings. My mother had 3 children and two miscarriages. My oldest sister had 4 children by the time she was 25. My other sister had two children with a couple miscarriages and a couple abortions in between. My cousins all have children with no problems, and it seems everywhere I look friends, aquaintances, strangers, celebrities are getting knocked up without even wanting or trying to. Angleina Jolie with 4 kids decides one day to try IVF (for what reason i don't think anyone will ever know) and it works out for her on the first try - oh and with twins!! Nicole Richie - someone who by all accounts appears to be anorexic and is probably on some sort of illegal narcotics - has a child and is once again pregnant. It all seems so UNFAIR! I'm sure the celebrities I mentioned are nice enough people and deserve the happiness we are all craving, but why is it so easy for some people and so diffifcult for others? I'm a good person, I take pretty good care of myself. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, I eat pretty well, I've done everything the doctors have told me to do.....why hasn't it happend? Anytime I try and discuss my "issues" with someone in my family it seems all they can say is "It'll happen when it's right" or "just relax, and give it time". I don't know how many more times I can hear that before I scream. This past week we had to give everyone the bad news that IVF hadn't worked and all they could say was how sorry they were...... I'm not saying I don't want the support, but how do you respond to that? It's almost like it made the situation harder. Anyway, needless to say this week has been one of the hardest in the past 3 years, I have to admit that It's somewhat of a small comfort to know that I'm not alone in the world, It's unfortunate that there are so many people out there that are going through, or have gone through, what we're going through; but it's nice to know there's a place like this to come to to find some solace. I just found out Tuesday August 11th that I'm infertile from my obgyn of five years. We went over my history and discussed the possibility of being pregnant and if not fertility treatments. He says the sooner I get pregnant the better. My parent's and a coupld of other people are like why can't you and your husband wait which they obviously don't get the part that I'm infertile. They think my doctor is a quack and won't even listen to me. We are going to try in Sept. on Clomid I'm hoping everything will go well and we will get a baby that I've always wanted since a little girl. I'm an early childhood major with only less than a year to go so anything will be good. Can someone give me insite on clomid and how well it can work?

I absolutely get it! It took me a long time as well. I remember how I felt after a couple I was friends with announced that they were pregnant a mere 4 months after getting married. Apparently she threw her pills away on their honeymoon and 1 month later she was pregnant. I congratulated them and then hid in my car and cried.
