Cost?

Hi, When I had mine done in Virginia a few years back, the bill charged $450 for the HSG testing, another $120 for doctor, and an average of $60 per blood test, other than pregnancy.. which was $27. If you have insurance it should cover all of it because its medical... not necessarily infertility related. Mine was clear, though they really did think that was my problem. Hope yours is clear!! Its not really comfortable, but not horrible.

I think it all kind of depends on where you are getting it done and how they code it. My HSG was considered surgery (my doc considers almost everything surgery) so it was covered by insurance.

Most will cover diagnostic stuff- so the HSG and bloodwork should hopefully be covered.

Good luck!

Hsg $

It looks like I'm going to pay somewhere between $450-650 if I drive about an hour. If I go to the local hospital it would be an additional $400. I recommend calling around to price check and ask at infertility clinics where there patients go.
GL!

I live in Massachusetts and have insurance. I got my statement from the hospital and it says the cost was $856 for the HSG and injection Procedure.

Not sure what the blood work costs. Good luck!

I'm in Illinois- My HSG was done at a hospital by my RE. Total cost for hospital/radioogy and Re charges was $2000. When I had bloodwork done- the first time at by OB it was almost $500, and they tested about everything. When I had the work up -a year and a half later at the RE right before IUI- it was another $600 for me. FYI- if you;re doing IUI and I"m sure probably IVF- you have to have HIV/AIDS/Hepititis work-up on both you and your partner- we had my husbands regular physcian order those for him so insurance would cover. It sucks when your insurance covers nothing. Be sure to find out all the costs- we were told our HSH would be $500 and look what we ended up with. Good luck!
