I have hypothyroidism too and I am on 1 mg of Levothyroxin.I was initially on 0.75mg but my RE increased my dose.I had collected some information about natural killer cells,T-cells ,thyroid antibodies and their relation with miscarriages. He said,as many other REs that "all this is garbage" and too hyped. He said he has done b/w for my thyroid and increased my dose accordingly but apart from that I dont need to worry.I am now confused. When my RE says I dont need to worry about my thyroid problem and there are so many information about the possible harm to pregnancy/fertility by thyroid malfunction, whom do I believe. Its really worrying me.My ER is over and soon if everything goes fine I might go for ET and if my thyroid causes any problems after that I would never be able to forgive myself for not really going deeper into the problem and just saying "OK" to my RE everytime he waived away my thyroid issues.Ladies do let me know what you think I should do..

When I was first diagnosed I was tested every 8 weeks to determine if the dosage I was on was doing the trick. After four years of being seen by my primary care physician I am just now about to go to an endocrinologist after my thyroid being swollen for two years now. Girls, see a specialist if you can. They specialize in this for a reason and your primary may have an idea but can't dip further.

Hypothyroid

Hi, I am 34 and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 19. I was actually lucky because according to blood results all looked normal but with my symptoms, etc a doctor diagnosed me with subclinical hypothyroidism. I started levoxyl and started feeling much better. I eventually saw a specialist about 5 years ago and he upped my levoxyl so that my TSH would remain between .5 to 1.4 as that is when I feel best. That is considered too low by some doctors but I find if I get higher than 2.00 I feel sluggish, achey, etc. If you have symptoms of hypothyroidism make sure all the right blood tests are run and that you see a well enlightened DR. It can not only help your fertility but also make you feel so much better!

I have been hypothyroid since I was 15. Got better at 20. Had my son at 28. I've been infertile since then. Actively started trying since I was 35. Had a very sick son with diabetes since a year old. Was in the hospital on and off for the first 7 years. couldn't think about getting pregnant. went through iui's and ivf's for the past six years on and off. had several surgeries in between and had to take some time off. had several miscarriages also in the past 3 years. lost the last 6 embyros that were implanted in june 2008. not one took. doctor said my tsh was too low. i was in graves disease which is hyper thyroid. your tsh controls your lining for implantation. if it is too high or too low the embryo cannot implant.write back nancyg

Thyroid problems info?

Is anyone else in here having thyroid problems such as hypothyroidism mentioned earlier? Or any other thyroid problems like hyperthyroidism, tumors, etc.?
