Help!

Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced this:

I saw my doctor on Friday, 10/19 (Cycle day 24) - he felt that I ovualted on day 13 or 14 of my cycle. I subsequently had very light spotting on days 22, 23, and 24 and he felt it could be a good sign. Well, on CD 27 (sunday 10/21) and CD 28 (Monday 10/22) I also had really light spotting.

Okay - after all of that, here is the question, I broke down and did a pregnancy test on CD 27, and it was negative. However, I should have started AF yesterday, and no sign of her yet. Has anyone gotten a false ? I keep telling myself that the test was negative, but I have not been late before since being on meds.

Just wondering! There is always someone here with a similar experience or word of advice, so thanks in advance girls!

I tend to spot anywhere from 2 days to a week before my period starts. The progesterone and clomid could be delaying your cycle. Are they not monitoring you with ultrasounds and blood work?

We monitored with blood work the first two months on the meds and everything looked good, so the last two, we haven't monitored.

I just thought this was strange this month as I have never spotted before my period before.

Definitely strange then. The spotting was just a normal part of my cycle. My OB called it break through bleeding and we tried to treat it with extra estrogen for a few months but it still happened. What does your doctor think?

He said he that sometimes you get spotting with implantation, and the timing was right for that according to when I ovulated. So, it could be good news, or nothing to worry about. But like I said, I did a test on CD 27 and it was negative. I wonder if it was too soon to test? (Or maybe that is just the hope that we all grasp to thinking this might be "it")

Shanna, it could have been to early to tell. It does sound like it could be implantation bleeding. Sometimes a BFP will not show up right away. I would keep positive and see if AF comes, if not test again. I usually could not wait either, I would be testing every day, but that is how crazy I am. Good luck. Hope you get your BFP!!!!!!

What do your cycles normally run? I have heard of implantation bleeding/spotting but I personally haven't experienced it so I can't give any testimony to it. If you ovulated around CD13 or 14 then by CD27 it shouldn't be too early to test. Have you tested again since?
