Hello everyone

I haven't been active on this forum for a long time now. I know that a lot of new members have joined since the past few months, so many of you might not know me. A few of you might remember me.

First of all, sorry, that I have not been here to give you a shoulder to cry on, or to cheer you up to move on to your next steps, or to congratulate all those lovely BFPs and new moms. I had been feeling too hopeless for some months and could not gather courage to write to others or to write about myself.

I want to re-introduce myself here. I have been struggling with IF for 5 long years. It been very depressing to say the least. I have tried a few treatments (see my signature below), but none have worked. I am hoping that I can soon move on to IVF.

I had a plan in place in January this year and also started off on birth control, but almost simultaneously I got a staph infection which needed to be treated. So my IVF plan kind of got busted. In the mean time I had an HSG since the doctor wanted to update the results and found a polyp in my uterus. I have a hysteroscopy next week. So at this point I am not really sure when I can actually do the IVF, but its going to be a couple more months at least. I was certainly sad that it did not go as planned, because I was so hoping that I could do IVF in February. Oh well, I didn't have a choice but to come to terms with this and to move on.

So that's my story for 2008. Still unsure of what will happen and when. But I am praying that something works out soon either naturally or that I get a chance to try out IVF. I had really thought that 2007 would be the year. In fact, when I look back 5 years from now, I had never thought that this would be so difficult and I would be 35 and still not have children.

Good Luck to all of you out there. You gals are great. I would lurk around the forum when I felt like I needed a friend and would find some comfort just reading some of your postings.
