Had an ultrasound today

Hi everyone!

I had an ultrasound today that was supposed to be a baseline prior to starting a Clomid and Follistim cycle.

They found a thick lining and a polyp in my uterus and now i have to have a hysteroscopy, polypectomy and D & C.

Has anyone else been through this? I am freaking out a bit.

I am having the same surgery on 4/18, but I am also having a laparoscopy and possibly ovarian diathermy. I had this once before and I was a little crampy afterward, but nothing worse than AF for me. Hopefully this will help improve your chances. When are you having this done?

I've had these procedures--The polypectomy and D&C--I was given anesthesia --and I recovered well from that. The hysteroscopy, they had to remove scar tissue --they did not give me anything --and I felt cramping sometimes----didn't enjoy it much because of the saline solution but overall they were not as bad as the HSG!

Are they going to do all these procedures on the same day? Hope everything goes well for you. Keep us posted.

i'm having these procedures, all done in one shot, this tuesday 4/8/08.

i just feel like i hit another road block!!!! i was so excited to start the follistim finally, and now this.

but yea, they are doing all 3 under anesthesia this tuesday, and if it's better than the HSG that's great cause my HSG was awful!!!!

thank you for your responses, it calmed my nerves a bit.

But with our luck, it won't. I do hope it comes on time for you though. After my surgery, it came around the same time.

I think you may try to ask your doctor of how is it and try to find some information...
