Does Lovenox & baby aspirin really help?

I would love to hear some success stories about the use of blood thinners and baby aspirin after having recurrent miscarriages.

I tested with elevated levels of anticardiolipins and antiphosphatidylserine and am heterozygous Factor V. The doc doesn't seem worried about it and says all of it is very mild. I'm still not sure how to feel about it. I'm worried that I have it, but it seems very treatable. I'm hoping this will solve our miscarriage issues because it has been the most heartbreaking thing to go through infertility and losses at the same time.

Anyone have success or know of others who have had success with these things after recurrent losses?

Thank you!
Bridget

I've heard both ways. My RE says my blood stuff is "mild" as well and things my early m/c's are more about egg quality. Have you had genetics checked too?

That being said, I am taking blood thinners in my early pregnancy now... and the b6, b12, and folic acid. I did take the blood thinners last pregnancy too and m/c still...

So, I think once I (or anyone) has a good egg... and everything else is in place, then the blood disorders become important and then I feel like I'm giving the baby the best environment for blood flow and etc....

... and I'm sure all our situations are different...
I have seen lots of other women on the forum make it with the blood thinners. I think I've read somewhere a women named Bunniswife? You could look her up?
good luck!

Hello! I have had 4 unexplained miscarriages that occured over one year. I have mild thrombophelia, and as a last resort the RE thought the next cycle I got pregnant we would add a low dose of lovenox to the mix. Now almost 31 weeks later I am still pregnant with a healthy little boy. I never thought I would see the day I made it this far again. I'm honestly not sure if it's really the lovenox and baby asa or not, but I'm sure not giving it up! I've been doing them since I got my bfp and so far everything has been great. So in my opinion I would definately do it if you doc recommends it. One thing is for sure, it won't hurt, it can only help! Good luck to you!!

Thank you all!

Thank you all for responding. It's so great to hear some success stories, it makes me so happy for you all!!

I hope that it works, we've had to postpone it one more month because it was going to possibly interfere with a wedding of a close friends that we are a part of.

So, I am going to keep going with the Royal Jelly, Maca, Coq10, L-arginine, and prenatals! And hope that the baby aspirin and lovenox all somehow make a difference this time! I am so ready to be a mother!

Have a great day ladies!

i had 2 m/c's and a couple of chemicals. With DS, I took Folgard, heparin and baby aspirin. Now I have a healthy happy 6 month old. I truly believe that the blood thinners helped my carry my son. My diagnosis is MTHFR mutation. Some REs go in heavy and give you the blood thinners and believe that these blood disorders and immunological issues can cause m/c's and some don't. I truly believe that they COULD be a cause and if the treatment is so simple like heparin and baby aspirin (and extra folic acid), why not? When I get pregnant again (being positive here) I will do the same protocol
