Vomiting during miscarriage

I just had my fourth miscarriage. All have happened naturally right around 6 weeks. My doc thinks I might be miscarrying because of low progesterone - I started taking supplements this last time, but the levels were still going down. He thought I wasn't absorbing the suppositories enough and I changed to daily shots but it looks like I didn't start them in time. All four miscarriages have been very painful physically and I vomit violently during them. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with the vomiting - if it's just from the pain or something else. Also wondering if it really is not enough progesterone - or should I worry I'm having m/c's for another reason?

Thanks in advance for any response!

I'm very sorry for your loss. I experienced vomiting during my m/cs but I think it was from the anesthesia given to me (I had D&Es). If you haven't had a complete workup, you should get one before getting pg again to find out if there are other problems that are causing your m/cs. Best of luck to you.

After four early miscarriages, I would insist on testing for autoimmune factors such as Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome or Lupus. Positive results for ANA, Lupus Anticoagulent, Anticardiolipins or other indicators of autoimmune disorders can cause repeat miscarriage. Do not wait for another miscarriage to get tested, please get tested prior to getting pregnant again so that if you do have APS or another disorder you can receive proper treatment, in some cases baby aspirin and heparin will let you carry a pregnancy to term. As for a full workup. So sorry for your losses. It's heartbreaking....

Thank you both for responding. I did have a full work-up and the doctor said it was not auto-immune. He said next time we'd start progesterone shots right away and Heparin. The baby aspirin didn't seem to help much - neither did suppositories. Thanks again for the insight!

Hi. Sorry your loss.... I am a vomit"er" when in pain. During my last cytotec induced miscarriage I was puking my guts out.

Same situation here. Full work up, only othing out of whack was IGM Anticardilopid, which does effect pregnancy or implantation.
