What a great question! I have heard the same thing. My husband and I have been TTC for 4 years. I am still not pregnant...but I know it will happen. I said I would try right away because I wouldn't want to have to go through all of this again and wait all those years to have a second child. If it is easier to get PG right after giving birth...I will try!!! Good Luck!!!

my re told me to take care of myself after the tripets beacuse he didnt want to get pregnant so soon. he told me that a lot of his patients (sp) get pregnant without futher treament. since the birth of my kids i have had a regular cycle and ovulating for the past three months.

I just found a thread by Kim( Wannabemom) that she got pregnant naturally after her IVF. Her baby is just 6 months old. This is such an encouraging news. The thought of going through another IVF for my next baby makes me nervous so I'm so happy to read aout any such pregnancy that is natural after IVF. Gives me hope.

Our DD was born in 1/06, and AF returned in 12/06 (I was a nursing mama). DH and I tried naturally up until our FET last fall (though we weren't charting or anything). With MF infertility, I think it's harder to conceive naturally, but hey, we were willing to go for it! I love the stories where it does end up happening--I think it's great!

Me: 38, wombtacular DH: 41, spermatically challenged [severe oligospermia] DD: 3 going on 30! 4 IVFs, 3 TESEs, 1 FET, 1 m/c 2 beautiful daughters! 1/19 -- Baby Annelise born at 41w1d / 7 lbs. 11 oz. 3/20 -- 2-month check-up: 13 lbs. / 13 oz. & 23.75"! My big girl! 5/29 -- 4-month check-up: 19 lbs. even! & 26.5" / Somebody loves her mama's milk! 7/31 -- 6-month check-up: 21 lbs. / 4 oz. & 27.25" / she's now officially off of the growth chart! We love our big girl! 10/23 -- 9 months already?!?!?! 22 lbs. / 14 oz. & 28.75"

A lot of people have warned me about this.... I have heard many stories about people doing fertility treatments and then getting pregnant naturally soon afterwards. All I know is that I would never take birth control and if it happened it would be a true miracle
