Hi. I'm tanny. I'm a 32 yr old newbie who is just at the very beginning stages of the IVF journey. My husband and i have been together for nearly 13 years. We have two daughters together (ages 8 and 11) and a step daughter (age 16) from my husbands prior relationship. My dr recommended me getting my tubes tied after the birth of my 8 yr old because the pregnancy and delivery was a difficult one and I followed her advice and did just that, but i've always regretted it. Now we have decided that we would really like to try for one more which brings us to IVF. I have a great RE and he has told me that regardlesss of my age, he thinks that i am an excellent candidate for egg sharing, which would help cut down on some of the ivf cost. Although, we will also have to pay for TESE which we are still trying to find out the cost. So if anyone knows the cost, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm hoping u all can give some good advice and support as my family and i move along in this process. Good luck to each and everyone of u out there. Can't wait to meet u, chat, laugh, cry and smile with all of u. Have a wonderful day.

Im not familiar with the Cooper Institute.
I think it is wonderful you have decided to have more children. My husband and I have been married for 4.5 years, but have a blended family of 6. He has two boys and a girl and so do I. Five live with us full time but my 18 year old just enlisted in the army and will be leaving Feb. 3rd. My husband had a Vasectomy reversal, it went really well and everything went back to normal after 10 years, then we found out that my eggs must be too old since i am 40. So here we are... 1 failed IUI and 2 failed IVF's, we are now using adopted embryos. We ahve one failed FET with those nad are getting ready for another FET in Feb. We are praying it works... Where are you in your journey now?

we are just starting. I have done all the blood work and my husband is going to see the urologist soon so we can make sure all is well with him and find out the cost of the TESE or MESE that he will have to get done. My RE also told me that i may be a good candidate for his egg sharing program becasue i am in good shape and healthy, but on my first set of bloodwork my FSH came back at 8.6. I guess this is higher than what they normally like to see for the egg sharing program. So now i am going back in to redo the blood work again and see if FSH is better so I can still participate in the egg sharing program. I really hope that I can becasue it would really help with the cost for IVF.
I hope all goes well for you in this next part of your journey.Sound like you and your husband have got your hands full with all 6 of your kids running around. I know all of mine certainely keep me busy. Thanks for being so friendly. Its nice to have someone who understands that I can talk to : ) |
