low progesterone- prometrium

I conceived my first child on my first round of clomid which my OB put me on due to 2 early miscarriages and low progesterone. We've been TTC #2 for a year now, and finally conceived on a natural cycle. My hcg looks good, but my progesterone is low so my doc put me on oral progesterone supplements, prometrium. It was 11. I'm taking 200 mg at night. Anyone else taking these and what is your dosage? I've heard that the injections are better but my doctor sticks with the oral pills. Thanks ladies!!!

My progesterone was also low. They have me taking 2-200mg prometrium capsules (one orally, one vaginally) twice a day (so 800 mg/day). I wouldn't mind just taking them orally. Taking them vaginally SUCKS. I'm gonna call my dr and see if I can just take them all orally, but I've heard that you absorb more if you take them vaginally? idk. I'll have to ask my dr. I've heard that the PIO injections are uncomfortable for a lot of people because the oil is so thick.

I took 100mg once a day, orally. My bloodwork showed that the oral dosage sufficiently raised my progesterone levels. Otherwise, I would have had to use another delivery method. I think that many people don't absorb it well orally, but that's not true for everyone.
