Hi - I'm Marla, 40 yrs. old with an 18 month old daughter. I have had regular ovulation and cycles since 6 months and breastfed her up until 17 months. I also had a m/c in January at 8 weeks and we've been TTC since with no luck.

I weaned one month ago and am still waiting for my period at Day34. I took a test - negative. I am normally like clockwork between 26-28 days.

I'm supposed to call my RE on Day1 to start my IUI, but now I'm wondering if I'm ever going to menstruate. It's driving me crazy!

Did anyone else have delayed periods post weaning even after being regular for months? How long did it take you to go back to being regular? What do I do if I don't get my period, but I'm not pregnant? How do I even start an IUI cycle?

Your hormones are changing since you've stopped breastfeeding so it's understandable that it may take time to get back on track. Call your RE to see if you can get some progesterone to jump start your period.

Call your re to get provera it will make your period start but is a horrible drug made me crazy.

I'm also breastfeeding twins and think my period is trying to start, I had some spotting and than nothing. I am supplementing and they started food they are so cute.

Let me know how your periods are mine were very regular before as well.
