This is my first cycle of IVF. I've already done 4 rounds of injectables with IUI, but the drugs this time around really made me an emotional mess.

I had my ET today. We went in on day 3 and we had 4 good quality embryos (all 8 cell with a 3 or 4 rating). We do not want multiples, so my doc suggested taking the embryos to day 5 to the blastocyst phase. We went in today and had 1 good quality blastocyst and the 3 others were still growing. We implanted 1 today and if any or all of the other 3 look good tomorrow, they will freeze them. I'm feeling pretty optimistic. I've read a lot online about the higher success rate with day 5 embryos, so we are very hopeful.

We have a PT on Aug. 14th. I'm on bedrest for 2 days. It's going to be a long 12 day wait.

I'm going to start my IVF cycle this month, most of the big stuff will start in September though. We aren't starting Lupron until day 21 of my cycle which is exactly where I am today so it's going to be late August/early September. My RE prefers 5 day transfers as well. Keep us posted on how this works out for you.

Good luck on your PT on the 12th. I have 10 more days and it's not going by quickly. I'm trying to make some plans for myself next week so I'll keep busy and not obsess on it too much.

I wish you luck. My wife and I just went in today for the retrieval process. The doc says everything looks good. Its been a long process to get this far. We are very optimistic as they retrieved 7 eggs. We are waiting for the phone to ring to let us know the fertility results. If their is any questions I could possibly answer let me know

I am starting IVF this cycle. I start Lupron next Thrus and stims Fri and have an estimated transfer date of 8/25-8/28.

I am doing IVF, too. Today is my transfer. You are looking good girlfriend! Keep positive. I don't know if I will even have a transfer today because my embryos don't look to good. But anything can happen Keep us posted on your progress. We will all be praying for your success.

I just finished my first cycle of IVF and it wasn't as bad as I imagined it to be. I asked the doc to give me a lower does of meds b/c I didn't want to end up with 25 eggs. I ended having 13 eggs and 4 fertilized, so I was happy about that. The injections weren't too bad physically, but emotionally I was a wreck. The retrieval wasn't too bad either, but I did take it easy for a couple of days. Transfer was simple, but staying in bed for 2 days was soooo hard, especially with a 2 1/2 yr old running around! May sister was a big help to me for those two days since my DH had to work.

I'm in the 2ww period and I'm hoping for a positive result. I have my PT on Aug 14th. The waiting is so hard!
