I've been reading posts for a while and think this might be where I belong. I've joined some other online infertility groups but I always feel like a bit of a fraud, being a mom AND infertile.

DH and I have been TTC#3 for about 18mos now. I have a DS (6) and DD (3), both clomid babies. Unfortunately clomid is no longer an option. We did 3 cycles of Letrozole, all miserable failures. So now whats left is injectables/IUI and the expense is limiting us to only a couple of cycles. We did our first in December. Everything went beautifully, I had 3 perfect follicles and 2 that were okay. Triggered and did the IUI. Everything looked perfect, but I was to go in for an U/S the morning following the IUI to make sure I had released at least one egg. The U/S got cancelled due to a blizzard and when I finally made it in 4 days later it looked like I never ovulated but there was no way to be certain so we just had to wait. So now our next cycle is on hold until spring truly arrives.

Right now I'm on CD53 with no relief in sight and a call in to my doc.

Yup yup yup you are right where you belong...with us! I have an AMAZING & SUPER SPECTACULAR 4 yr DD!!! We tried for her for 4 years and now we have been trying for #2 for 4 years as well. The gang here is great. They stick around even after they get preggie and become mommies of one or many! There is no leaving us!

Don't feel like a fraud by any means. IF is IF, regardless if you have children or not. We are all in the struggle together here. I have a DD and very proud of it, however later in life proved to be an obstacle and here I am fighting with IF. And thats just my story. So don't feel like a fraud - by any means we are all in this sisterhood together!

This is exactly how I felt on the other sites I tried as well. Here, I don't feel that way b/c there are so many in the same boat as me. And even when I post elsewhere (other than "Secondary") and know there may be women trying for their first, and they are still warm, helpful. I love it here!!!

I'm also trying for #3. We have a dd, Ally (4) and a ds, Tommy (2). I tried 4 unmedicated IUIs, as that's what we did with ally and tommy, 6 clomid iuis, and this is our first cycle with injectibles. I'm so sorry that you missed your u/s b/c of a blizzard! I am sorry, I can't give advice about AF not showing yet. I'm not sure why that would be. Did the RE give you BCP or anything to help? I don't know if it does help, but it seems like I heard that before.

You have come to the right place. Don't feel like a fraud. Like kuddleygal said, it doesn' matter if you have children already or not, we are all in this together. IF can be a battle but know we are all here for you. Good luck through your journey.

I finally caved and called my regular OB (I've been with him or 8 years, vs. 6 mos with my RE...I'm so much more comfortable with him!) The only thing I've changed since my last period is he started me on Wellbutrin. I wasn't dealing well with the stress. So I asked him if the lack of AF could be related to that or just typical me. He said "that's probably just typical you." At least he's honest. So once I assured him I had taken several negative tests he called in a scrip for prometrium so we can get this show on the road. Finally! Today was day 55!
