Hi
Nursectu...what else did they test in your bloodwork? I know some doctors debate the progesterone/LPD thing but there is some evidence its a real problem. I think if your progesterone might be low they should check that. I am wondering if charting will show anything for me.
I just came back from my best friend's house with our other close friend and all of the discussion was being pregnant, new baby etc etc. I am really glad that she's happy and its working for her but the discussion was hard to participate in for me. It does make you more acutely aware of your situation. I just left feeling down about waiting again and then not knowing if it will work and all of it. Thank you for hoping for my meds to work this time. I am not sure where we'll be if they don't.... |

They tested my FSH, LH, estradiol(E2), TSH, prolactin, and progesterone. What is the other blood work that you talked about? I think that it is really great that you were able to find out your source of the problem so early. I wish we would have had this blood work and hsg 10 months ago. It's so funny as I sit here typing this about ttc #3 my #2 is throwing a fit saying his cookie is smaller than his brothers. I must be nuts but I would love to have at least 4. How old are your kids if you don't mind me asking. Mine are 8 and 2&1/2.

This is where I go when I need support or have to vent. It's also great for when you change treatment. Someone always knows what's going on with you! Baby dust to you.

hi
Thanks Sarah and good luck. Nursectu, I have only had my progesterone checked and the HCG level when i had the miscarriage. I am wondering if i should have the other stuff done that you had done. Definitely if this progesterone doesn't work i'm asking for that and seeing a specialist. Part of the reason i am so frustrated is because my other two happened so easily and I knew going into this time that something had changed in my body. I know there is a problem but getting the doctors to react to that is hard. My boys are 3 and 5. These past few days have been hard because my best friend just found out she's pregnant on the first try and its just constant baby talk about how exciting it is to be pregnant and all of those things you think about when you are. I am glad she's so happy and it worked for her and I really hate it that her good news makes part of me feel bad. That part just sucks. Its like a constant reminder of what you are missing. I'm trying to think I'll get there eventually. I hope everyone does. Not getting pregnant sucks! Good luck to everyone.

I agree that the Doctors don't seem to be as receptive with the 3rd child infertility. Some articles that I have read say that a lot of times women that have second infertility had trouble getting prego with the first and some were just lucky with the first but did actually have fertility problems. I've never heard of being lucky 2 or 4 times (in my case if you count the 2 mc). My MD said you got prego so easily, you'll get prego again, it can take up to 1 year. Once the year passed that is when we did the hsg and now blood work. FertilityPlus: Information Written by Patients, for Patients good web site with the types of blood work, when to get them drawn and the normal, abnormals and what it means. I think that having all your bases covered is always a good idea. Do you chart you temps. Sometimes that can show a problem. I work tomorrow night so I will look up my results. I'll keep you updated. I'm sorry that you have to go through this with your friend. My sister, sister-in-law and my one friend are all trying. I'm just waiting until one of them give us the news and I become green and have nausea 24hr/day. It's not that you don't want to be happy for them but it is just so hard. I watched my two closest friends conceive and give birth in the time we have been trying. I think the odds are in our favor. I'm 30, I don't how old you are but we have 2 kids and got prego easily, we just have to keep saying it's going to happen! Saying this and being with my family gets me through the day.

hi
I am 32. Yes, we are young and had two kids so I think chances are at some point it will happen right? I am trying to think that and know that when it does all of this will be unimportant. I am really happy for my friend and i'm glad that she is so excited...I really am....but it is just hard to have the excitement in your face all the time when you can't have the same. I hope that you get pregnant before your friend and sister and sister-in-law so you can feel happy for them without feeling sad. Let me know what your blood tests show. I am debating asking my doctor to do the same panel of tests you just had.
