Question for you guys, how long did you wait before seeing an RE and how long did it take to get the appointment after you called? I am not gettng any younger and know I have a hormone problem and I wonder if I shouldn't be wasting time with my OB? I am wondering if I should call ahead of time so I don't waste months waiting for an appointment?

took us 2 months for an initial appointment with the RE and then another cycle before we started "treatments"... don't waste your time, call them and setup and appointment... you can always cancel it

I was just going to send you a message about seeing a RE I would find and get in with one asap if I were you they really are soooooo much more knowledgeable and helpful then your general ob dr. I knew I had pcos and we didn't see an ob at all when we moved we just had our general dr. give us a referrel right away for an RE. We had been seeing one before moving. If you live in a rural area it can take alot of time to find and get in with a good one. Old is a state of mind. We are 37 and 40 and ready to try again.

I started clomid with my OBGYN for four months then got referred to my RE, it took 2 months to get in, and then I had to take a month off!

I think I am going to call tomorrow and make an appointment. I can always cancel if things work out before then but I don't want to wait and then have to wait another 2 months to get in. Thanks for your advice.
