New Here: TTC almost 22 months
Hey everybody!
Just here to learn more. I have not been diagnosed with secondary infertility (or anything else.) But I feel very concerned and frustrated with ttc #2. I'll try to make this brief ![]() Our lo is 3 now. It took 7 months to get preg with him. I thought we had missed our chance that month too and was surprised!! I've never taken the pill-only used condoms and we quit using those when he was 7 months-the same month came back. She has been a regular visitor since that time. My cycles went back to normal except they were definitely less painful. They have become more painful during this year to where I have had to start taking tylenol or advil again as before.I have been nursing this whole time, however I night weaned a year ago. He nurses once a day now. I go through the same thing every month: af, increased drive, slippery cm, ewcm, soft cervix, dry-no cm, and then lack of sex drive (don't even look at me kind of lack) Always BFN. Well, just thought I'd share and see if there is anyone else in the same situation. So far we have not been to the doctor except for one month when we did ultrasounds in the office. He didn't seem real worried that somethings wrong, but was really kind and willing to do whatever we wanted. We chose to give it a few more months. The ultrasound showed my follicles forming up to 18mm. I had a lot of sharp pains during the next few days and was sure I had O'd. We went back and they were still there-same size hadn't grown. We went back the next week (as soon as they could get me in) and they were gone. He felt that I had probably O'd, but it had been too many days and he couldn't see for sure. Anyway, thanks for reading my rambling :lol |

Just wanted to say welcome. I'm also trying to conceive #2. I would definately start getting some tests done if I were you, 22 months is long.....we've been trying over a year and discovered I'm not ovulating. So, perhaps you're not either. Or, it could be because you're still nursing. Good Luck.... keeps us posted!

Hi, and welcome from another newbie.
Seconary infertility is particularly hard, I think, because we know our bodies can conceive and carry a baby, its almost like it's forgotten what to do next time! My problem is a little different in that I can conceive, but my eggs are damaged and my pregnancies fail around 6 weeks. I'm currently on my 2nd cycle since my last miscarriage and in a 2ww. Do you do fertility charting at all? It's a good way to detect any months that don't include ovulation and keep track of ovulation in hindsight. Did you say you're nursing your DS/DD? I'm so envious of people being able to do that at 3!! I weaned DD at 18 months because I wanted to TTC #2 and was sad to do it, but realised it was probably better for my fertility in the long run (being the age I was, I didn't want to leave it too long). Anyway, good luck with your journey and hope you get your BFP soon.
