I'm so glad to have found this forum, although sad to see there are others who find themselves in a similar situation

A bit about me: I'm 40 (41 in March) and had a DD born in 2004, conceived after second cycle of trying. Uneventful pregnancy, but had a complicated and stalled labour which resulted in a emergency c-section.

Started to try for #2 in September 2005 when DD was 18 months old and still breast-feeding. Fell pregnant first attempt. Unfortunately this was the first of another 5 (in total) early miscarriages.

Three have been karotyped, and all showed trisomies (so the diagnosis is that my egg quality is dodgy).

Attempted two rounds of IVF earlier this year, both BFNS so decided not to continue.

Have no problems falling pregnant (5 pregnancies in two years) but unfortunately the quality of my eggs is the issue.

My most recent loss was in October and I had a D&C.

My next AF was light, but after my subsequent AF I had terrible cramping and another light flow, decided to get checked out. I'm glad I did as it turned out I had developed Ashermans Syndrome (uterine scarring) from all the operations I've had in sucession.

A procedure involving a balloon catheter and saline solution appears to have fixed the problem and I'm currently on CD15, waiting to ovulate.

Fingers crossed this month will be a good one.

Secondary infertility is such a sad place to be as we know the joy of having babies and would very much love to be blessed once again.
