5 1/2 months ago I found out I was pregnant. I was very scared at first and I grew to be very thrilled. I thought my pregnancy would be like the majority, very enjoyable and uneventful. By 13 weeks they started to see birth defects and my the 3rd month they diagnosed him with a very rare compilation of congenital defects called cloacal exstrophy. I was scared to death. I had amnio done to my ease he was a normal chromosome male. But I was still afraid. The doctors said it was very rare and sporadic and the liklihood of it affecting future children was next to none. He amniotic fluid levels were low and that got us worried. When his his father found out he was having problems he dissapeard. He was born stillborn per induction on Sat Jan 26th. I was 21 weeks, my little angel Connor was only at 11.2 oz, he was beautiful and I am falling apart with grief and emptiness. I greive for him. I want a child deeply and I think for the near future when my mind and body heal some I will resort to IUI. I need some people to talk to since the hurt is so great. Please all keep in touch.
