The 20 minute rule
One of my friends suggested this strategy she learned from her IF support group. It's called the 20-minute rule. Each day, you discuss IF for a maximum of 20 minutes. We set a timer, and one of us says whatever they're thinking or feeling for 10 minutes. Then, the other person has a turn.
This has helped us a lot! My husband used to feel like we never talked about anything else, and he was right- I would go on for hours.
We even take one day a week off, when we try to do something fun and not think or talk about IF at all. It's great.
