This is why God made women to be the child bearing ones......because men can't handle it. Honestly, I finally gave up on that battle with my DH. He did great up until the ET, then during the 2WW he started up again. I thougth it was very unfair that he could drink and I couldn't. It ticked me off, but the more I complained the worse it got. So I just decided I would choose my battles and that is not one of them anymore!

I've learned to pick and choose my battles. There are a lot of worse things that my DH could be doing but he's not and for that I'm thankful. I don't have a spouse who likes to drink, smoke, party, etc. His biggest flaw is the amount of hours he can spend playing a game with friends via the internet. But I have to look at both sides of the coin; just as I've had to give things up for this IVF cycle so has he. So do I throw a fit and start a fight over something that maybe in retrospect won't be such a big deal? They need their chance to unwind and relax too. It's just as stressful on them as it is on us, the difference is we talk about it and put it out there with our friends, they keep it inside and let it fester. Know what I mean? If you don't want to go to the party but he does decide how it's best to handle it. Do you have a girlfriend that you haven't seen in a while. Make it a night for movies and pizza while he's out at the party, then it's win/win for both. Just throwing an idea out there.

ha ha ha..yeah sounds good...he just annoys me sometimes.
What my evil twin wants to say is, hey jerk off, you have to make some sacrifices too. He is selfish, and they say when you marry someone older than you are, they are set in there ways. But he acts like a freaking 19 year old sometimes and it makes me cringe. GROW UP...I am your wife and I am dealing with infertility......ahhhhhhhh... Or I could just go out with my family and just try and ignore his lack of caring...but as crazy as this sounds, I don't want him going to this party and being around young happy girls, and thinking, wow my wife is so miserable lately. EWH..I am so insecure in this post, I really am not, but this week has been a duzzy...

Sorry sweetie...I can't relate. My husband and I are too old to party and drink. LOL! We get tired around 9:30 and head upstairs to bed. ROFL!

My DH will be 37, but acts 19...I am the one who wants to take it easy, especially now that I can't even have some wine, I mean this stinks..I need some wine tonight to deal with this week..maybe I will have one glass...

jackie, i totally feel your pain. that is exactly why i had such a hard time dealing with my dh going to chicago for a bachelor party. i couldn't stand the thought of him having so much fun and seeing other girls having fun and being carefree. i hated myself sounding so insecure too. you'll get past it. this week i have felt so much better, but for some reason the 2 weeks or so before that i was a mess. give him a little space and then try and talk about things and be honest about your feelings.
i LOVE monica's suggestion. dig a hole and bury his keys...gotta remember that one!!!
