maybe TMI but sex drive and IVF?
Hi guys~
I'm glad I found this section of the forum. My DH and I started having a lot of stress in our relationship and fighting quite a lot because I have had no sex drive at all, when he would even look at me I would think "don't even think about it!" This has never happened to me with him before. We had a great sex life but all of the meds messed with me so much. This created such a problem for my DH because our great sex life is what makes him feel secure in our relationship. I wonder if maybe I'm not the only one this has happened to and more hubbies feel this way and dont talk about it?

Me~ 36yrs old, 2 children from another life! DS 12, DD 9 DH~ 27 no children of his own Only tube, was tied then reversed in '07 Conceived naturally 9/07 Surgically removed 10/07} ectopic Significant scarring on tube. Started IVF 12/07 Retreval 4/22/08} 31 eggs!  21 fertilized FET 7/18/08 } 2 transferred     16 icebabies left 9/19/08 US working on natural transfer~no meds

During my cycle with all the med's, I never felt like it. My belly felt huge and my ovaries felt like they were about to burst, so there was absolutly no BD'ing ! Then, after the ER - I obviously didnt feel like it and after ET, we werent suppose to.
Now, we are about 1 week after our Negative BETA and thing's are back to normal ... Just give it some time

Yeah, being so sore and moody and then on restrictions after ET makes for a non-existent sex life. Pretty ironic when you're trying to make a baby! It sucks but I think it makes the emotional bond stronger.

None made it to freeze  BETA 8/7/08 - Currently "in between" treatments but pursuing TCM, Yoga, getting as healthy as I can.

I personally felt like there was already so much "traffic" down there from the scopes and the ultrasounds that I didn't want to consider anything more.

TTC since 11/05 Me 31: right tube mostly and left tube completely blocked, random polyps that disappear on their own DH 33: on the low side, but good enough 4/07-11/07 - 5 rounds chlomid IVF #1 in July '08 7/5 start Lupron 7/9 baseline - 22 follicles 7/12 start stims 7/23 ER got 8 mature eggs - 7 fertilized! 7/26: 3dt of 2 "pretty good" embryos w/ fragmentation, 1 frozen blast left 8/6 Beta FET #1 in Aug/Sept '08 9/11 transferred 1 blast 9/20 + HPT and Beta #1 = 31 9/23 Beta #2 = 86 9/26 Beta #3 = 362 10/8 u/s at 6w5d, saw empty gestational sack measuring 5w1d 10/15 f/u u/s same results 10/20 D&C  In the meantime, RJ, BP, propolis, CoQ-10 & a multi for me, C, E, & almonds for DH IVF #2 in Jan '09 start OPK's on CD11 Dec 5, start Lupron 8 days after LH surge aiming for ER during week of Jan 4
