Communication with Family and Close Friends

Infertility is just one of the many topics people don’t understand or cant relate to unless they’ve been through it themselves.

When you get to the point that people are starting to wonder why you don’t have kids, and they start asking questions, how can you share with them your struggles with infertility in a way that will make them understand?

How can you avoid the “well, I guess you just weren’t meant to have children” comments?

Are there books out there that help you address infertility issues with family and close friends?

I agree. my family is very closed mouth about babies and things. My sister was four months preg. before anyone told me. There is a book called infertility and family. it helps them understand how you feel and that they can talk about it to you and it seems to be working pretty well with us
