Silly me - missed this thread, too! What a great idea...

I think you all have fascinating jobs - though my two faves were 1) stay at home mom, of course!!! and 2) "Director of First Impressions". Love that!

I'm Solution Management Director at Accenture Learning (large consulting/outsourcing company - basically I lead a team of folks around the world who develop detailed financial models to support our sales proposals). After 10 years with Accenture right out of uni, I'm hoping to go back to get my MBA soon. All depends on when the stork comes to visit!

My DH has the cool job - he's an independent filmmaker (originally from East Germany)... Much more interesting than my day job!

How cool is this... I always wonder about everyone...
I am a social worker and am a Case Manager for the North Dakota Dept. of Human Services. I work with the Early Intervention program... a program that identifies little ones ages 0-3 that may be at high risk for or are experiencing developmental delays, and also have older kids and adults on my caseload who are developmentally disabled or have MR. I had planned on getting my masters degree, but am going to wait for awhile now to see what happens in the baby-making area...

My DH is a web designer and graphic artist. His office is in our home, allowing him to care for and spend lots of time with our dogs... we raise and show American Pitbull Terriers and are very active in a APBT dog club that strives to promote and educate people about responsible dog ownership and the positive aspects of this very misunderstood breed.

Wow-there are quite a few labor & delivery nurses here. That's cruel irony, isn't it? I used to be one, too, but now I work for public health. I have multiple responsibilities there. I am the Tuberculosis Control Nurse for our county, I do all of the hepatitis reporting, and I work in our Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinics doing male and female exams. It's interesting, to say the least! My husband works at the University of Illinois as an electrician.

Add one more to the teacher club!

(Although I was tempted to say Supermodel, Dog trainer to the Stars or something equally exciting.)

I'm in my 13 year as a middle school art teacher. It's a often stressful and always messy job. It's also incredibly rewarding and leaves me feeling very, very loved. I've made about 300 birthday crowns this year. Not to mention play scenery, dance decorations, etc...

I'm also an artist in my own right- lately into collaging. Think Joseph Cornell.

I am a research scientist working for a medical supplies company. I won't go into details cause I'll just bore you, but my parent company makes the majority of the POAS devices we all love so much (both HPT and OPK).

DH is also a research scientist , working for a pharmaceutical company. Again, details would bore, but his company is looking to make drugs for cancer, inflammation, diabetes, etc.

I've been a mom for 12 years, and a foster mommy for 5. I haven't worked out of the home for almost 7 years now, but run my tail off with my foster children's home visits, therapy appointments, doctor appointments... and the after school activities!

I'm a medical transcriptionist for a radiology department and I work from home. I used to run a transcription dept. in the hospital, but opted out to work from home so we wouldn't need daycare! HA! Funny how things work out. I like working from home, but it can be a little lonely at times. Thank goodness for my furbaby to take some of my attention.

I am a social worker and I supervise workers who investigate child abuse & neglect. My unit specializes in sexual abuse cases. I was an investigative social worker for 3 years and a supervisor for about 3 years.I often think, how ironic to see all of these abused children all day,and I can't have one of my own. Kudos to poppycorn95 for providing a safe place for our abused and neglected children to go.

DH is a mail carrier for 6 years. He's pursing becoming a postal inspector.
