What do you do?

I thought it might be neat to find out what everyone does for a living. Lots of us seem to have office jobs and are here off and on throughout the days. I know we have a few teachers, a few nurses, etc.

So what do you do for a living?

I'm working customer service for a manufacturing plant in my hometown. I also use my accounting skills by taking care of accounts receivables.

Hi there
I work for a division of Maple Leaf Foods in Canada. I was in Customer Service for about 8 years and switched departments last year. I now am a systems administrator and make corrections additions/deletions to our main computer system. I miss the people interaction of customer service but have learned alot in my new job as well.

This is a great idea to learn more about everyone.

Some have also posted what their spouses do so I should do that as well.

My DH is a night shift supervisor at an office supply warehouse (wholesale) in Indianapolis. He's been at this company since 1999 and has been promoted four times. So he's hoping he can keep climbing the corporate ladder!

I own my own business as a kitchen designer. I operate from home and only work by referral. I've been a kitchen designer for fourteen years and on my own for four. I love it except I do kitchens in multi million dollar homes and tend to get a bit jealous from time to time!! It's all good though!

My DH is manager of global internet marketing for a large world wide testing company.

I was a high school guidance counselor for 7 years and then resigned to stay home with Gracie in 2003. I'll go back to being a school counselor when she's in school unless we have another baby.

My husband and his brother own a wholesale sporting goods company. They specialize in wrestling, volleyball, and have just started a running division.

It is interesting to learn more about each other!

I am a special education teacher at a non-public school in San Diego. Currently I'm working with students 18-22, getting them ready to transition to an adult program. I'm currently on vacation which is nice because it coincides with my 2ww and I have mild OHSS, but I love my job and if I ever do get pregnant will go back to work in 4 months.
My husband is a welding foreman at the shipyard here.

Wow. You guys are important! I'm not important anymore since I quit my important job to start a family. That's worked out really well huh? LOL! Going on three years now. I thought I wasn't getting pregnant because I was too much of a career woman and my job was too stressful.

My last position of merit was as Vice President of Operations and Administration for a consulting firm.

My hubby is a Principal Consultant focusing on supply chain management and international security for a consulting firm. I think. LOL!

Kitchen designer sounds like a great job. I am addicted to all sorts of architecture and home improvement magazines since we bought a house with a complete 70's decor. My husband and I are expert tilers by now.
